"All Korea...?" I doubt. Does the author realize that Korea is made up of North and South? These are the same folks who think the USA is the best at everything; ignoring the fact that some folks in the so called poor world are doing much better than what here are doing in as far as health care is concerned. I mean Cuba.
I am afraid, there is lack of direction for Ruby

Ruby 1.9.1 Released
·
· Score: 2, Insightful
According to this video , there is lack of direction. This is by Dave Thomas , and important figure in the Ruby world.
On a side note, I will use PHP on my servers before touching Ruby since I see no advantages for using it over PHP.
I know this is not officially released by Google but I would rather have Google get Gmail out of beta. My school would like to move to Gmail but the "beta" label is a show stopper on this front. What do you think?
It's not being as much wrong as it's limited. I cannot use more than 3.5 GB of RAM with WxP. I cannot currently have DX10 with WxP (screw that hacked implementation). Windows XP is a decent OS, Windows 2000 is a pretty good OS but it's time to move on. I am hoping Windows 7 will be a good replacement.
Then why not continue to sell XP to those who need it even if it meant to sell it without support? For those that need Windows 7 you can go ahead any buy it.
For me and for millions of others, XP still meets or exceeds our requirements. We like it that way.
Can Microsoft or any other person in the know tell us what exactly is wrong with Windows XP? I cannot see the problem with it.
I use XP all the time and I can say that I am quite satisfied so far. Sometimes I just do not get it, therefore I wonder why Microsoft would want to replace it.
My prayer to all those concerned is to work hard in order to avoid another "Katrina." Just like Katrina, we know this natural disaster is probably coming, like Katrina, we know its likely to be big and therefore affect many folks.
So let us prepare and not screw up everything. Events that transpired during and after Katrina were no less than events that would have transpired in a 3rd world country. Now that's shameful and we should avoid it.
I thought China would do this before India because all I see around is stuff with the label "Made in China." I hear they (the Chinese), even made an iphone rip-off , but I have not seen it anywhere! So where is China's innovation?
Microsoft's compliance with the 2002 antitrust settlement will test Windows 7 'more thoroughly' than earlier versions of the operating system were tested, according to a new status report filed with the federal judge watching over the company.
Wasn't this done for XP? If I cannot remove IE or Windows Media Player, then these folks will not have done their job.
But the better move would be to force Microsoft to use open formats for all their applications. That way, we all can be sure that alternative apps have the opportunity to work as required. The only hindrance here would be for programmers to "deliver."
The gang (Comcast, AT&T and the RIAA), have ganged up to frustrate internet users. That's sad. I hope they know full well that a chain is as strong as its weakest link. So unless all ISPs join "the gang" which is not the case, this arrangement will not work.
I really love Yahoo Mail's calendar option. It scrolls below the text composing area with important world events and also includes the user's own input. To me, this is better than Gmail's calendar implementation.
I wish we in the OSS world had "Open Source" printer chips and toner formula. These would enable anyone with the ambition, to build "free" printers instead of shelling dough to these greedy companies.
Let me remind you that KDE is and will be Open Source! That means you are and will be in position to modify it to your heart's satisfaction. Now your problems with KDE can be solved.
I am quite elated at the fact that this GNOME developer says KDE 4.2 rocks . Now, if the two teams could combine resources to churn out an awesome desktop environment (preferably KDE based), that would make the Linux ecosystem even more relevant in today's environment.
I mean if you do not see why a company should pay more for my services when someone is willing to do it for less, then I would like to see the following:
Microsoft should outsource management or hire H-1B visa personnel for management positions as well. It will be cheaper for the company too. How about that?
In 2001, while on a visit to Toronto, Canada, I remember using a touch enabled computer screen at the employment center. It was a memorable thing to me since I had never seen such technology before. Isn't this an example of prior art?
Who can tell me where I come from? I have blood from all continents except Australia. But I would love to really know where I really come from.
Unlike other so called un-developed countries that have an unwritten code on how offspring are named, we have nothing of the sort. In these societies a similar surname automatically has meaning beyond just a simple relationship. It helps.
You find one Smith from Australia with no relationship to the Smith in Wales, who in turn has no relationship to the Smith in Zimbabwe. It's pathetic. So forgetting information has been going on for centuries folks. I wish I could reverse that.
I understand what you are saying. Sadly, it is this very paradigm that will keep us from "world domination" yet we have the resources.
Sad indeed! 10 years from today, we'll still be where we are now...you might ask: Where? I would answer: STUCK in the corridors of irrelevance when it comes to the desktop.
I hope that those who loathe Microsoft for whatever reason, now have something to credit it for. This release is awesome in my opinion. Anyone in the know as to what it scores on the ACID 3 test?
As Midnight Commander is a text mode application. It can be used locally and/or remotely, on the console or under the X Window System.
Do text apps still have a place in today's world? Heck, network speeds and capacities (read bandwidth) have improved a great deal. I would rather have these programmers focus their efforts on Krusader ? It seriously needs some love.
Now, if that is the problem, then why do we spend resources on all there desktop environments which have given us lots of choice but at the same time, robbed us of "hands" to make an impact where it matters most?
It that is the problem, then let's solve it. Fixing the API or making it at least predictable would be a good first step. This approach appears to work for Apple...that is a software is made to work for OSX and indeed it does. But for Linux, more questions about the distro have to be answered.
In addition, different library versions within the "Linux" (read distro) ecosystem make it difficult to create software that will run across the board. I don't know why this concept is so difficult to understand. Why?
Let me put it this way. Linux should put [all] resources on one desktop environment which should result into a wonderful desktop while leaving the possibility of using another should there be need. What's wrong with that?
...because it's always a work in progress. We in the Linux world appear to always be "chasing" a prize that can never be caught.
I applaud the programmers in this effort though.
I don't know whether it's me alone but I have actively resisted and will continue to resist putting myself on Facebook.
Their user agreement is not something I would like to adhere to. I also look at it as a platform for teenagers yet I am well beyond those years.

My personal hope is that it fails. Period.

Is there a GreaseMonkey script to change this?

All I need is KDE 4.2 on a stable distro but not Windows incarnations. The good thing is that it will happen tomorrow.
Did you see "[all]" ? If I were to mark your script, I would call you a complete idiot.
