This is slightly off topic but really the legands of wonder fighters have about as much reality as Crouching Tiger etc.
Show up in the Octagon and see who walks away. It's pretty simple. The _proven_ methods of combat are mutai, jujitsu and just plain pounding the crap out of the other guy. The Gracies with Royce Gracie as the lead dominated the early days showing Brazillian Jujitsu as the most effective combat method. As time has passed there have been advances in defense and the striker - grappler thing is much more even now.
I would like to see Hatsumi strut his stuff but it's just a myth. There have been quite a few so called amazing martial artists humiliated in short order.

My computer, my baby it's true, does all that stuff with elan. I got your video and audio players hangin'. It also pirates the Dish satellites and I got maybe 666 channels of crap which records and pauses etc. About 160G of toons and movies downloaded from... all over;).
Total cost in $s = 0
Now it ain't all that simple to get it all hummin but it ain't all that hard either. How can these people, Intel etc, foist such borken crap on the public when there is free software to fucking copy....
I'll calm down now, go watch and find out who the next Food network star will be, get ready to cook dinner.

There is sooo much wrong with the Darwinizaton of FreeBSD that someone is screwing up pretty big time. The memory problems that make OSX pretty much useless as a server are just one example. A few direct attacks are prolly needed.

The last M$ OS I used happily was NT 3.51. 4.0 was a kludge and Slackware kicked it's ass and I never looked back. I do keep a tame copy of XP Pro, just to flash my burners though;).

One of the basics of *nix is the man page. I've spent many a happy hour just typing "man strangecommand" to find out what all those weird commands mean. It becomes very useful when you are using a command you know little about, or using a command that has many and varied options, "man mplayer", is a good example here.
The command line allows many options to the initiated and you just can't click enough boxes to do complex stuff. As this can get quite involved and quite frankly man pages are the cat's meoww for the command line.
I don't like most people no but then I'm nearly 60 and have had a lot of experiance with them. I do spend time in various places helping out but I don't hang out in forums much, unless one of my trolls has hooked a right-wing-nut and I need to smash it's head on the side.
You won't have fun in the maze of twisty turns I fear.
