Firefox had a white-on-orange RSS icon (http://www.squarefree.com/burningedge/rss-old.png ) but it got changed for being too geeky, too big, and looking like it said "ASS". I agree that it's a stupid icon, but could be better for the average windows user who knows what a "web feed" is.

Ever noticed how Wikipedia articles are updated within minutes of an event - for example, a news story, or someone's death? If we had to wait for these changes to be accepted Wikipedia would lose its reputation for being so fast.

I didn't mean that. If Linus had said "Personally, I prefer KDE to Gnome" then we could all ignore him and use whatever desktop environment we liked.

However, he wants people to use KDE, based solely on personal preference, which is nothing more than zealotry "Please, just tell people to use KDE". Because, you know, people shouldn't even get a choice in the matter. It doesn't even affect him.

I'm not saying that people are going to use KDE more because of this, I'm just condoning his actions.

To anyone wanting to know how to swap Caps Lock and Control under X:

    Put this in ~/.Xmodmap

    keysym Caps_Lock = Control_L
    add lock = Caps_Lock

Then run xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap whenever you need to.

I can tell you from experience that it does work. I don't know how to do it in Windows. I hope someone else does.
