In my experience, the "compatibility" mode of Windows XP usually doesn't do diddly. I would suggest trying DOSBox(http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show _news=1), an excellent 486/VGA computer emulator that can run quite a few old games on a modestly powerful machine (2.0 Ghz +, 512 MB RAM), and even has some graphic filters if you have the power.
I don't play tabletop RPGs, but that's not relevant, I noticed your reply while browsing through and felt I had to respond... I just don't understand why you choose to insult people...oh that's right, you are a real man because you utilize countless cliched pickup lines in an attempt to get a quick lay...let me tell you something, REAL men have a little integrity, and treat woman with a modicum of respect, not like cheap whores. and they also actually create accounts instead of posting anonymously. That is all I have to say.
The type of animation you are referring to is "hentai" anime, hentai of course being the Japanese word for pervert, which is a whole different breed. Contrary to popular belief, anime and hentai are NOT synonymous.
Actually, it performs surprisingly decent at 640x480 and medium detail with AA and V-Sync disabled, and looks much better than many other recent FPSs at that resolution and detail. It can get choppy on occasion on my 5200, but it's relatively rare, for a budget card, this card has done alright.
Well, as long as they have the Madden Franchise, they might just franchise. Gotta love those "Players" featured celebrities who only play Madden and NBA Live and consider themselves hardcore. Gimme a break...
Having always lived fairly comfortably (mid middle class), I won't say I know how it is to live a life of wanting, but my father was always telling us about his upbringing, constantly moving around the country and to different army bases (father was s soldier), he had to take care of his brother and sister because his father gambled their few funds away, and his mother would get drunk and wasn't much use to them. They would have to eat squirrel for breakfast, etc. I think it would do the general populace a lot of good to take a step back and reflect on how good we have it. There are many countries where people are grateful just to have clean drinking water, or are considered well off if they have a radio, and then we have to listen to people complain about not being able to buy another new car etc., sometimes it makes me sick. Just my two cents.
