    3) Probably doesn't want to pay $60 bucks each way to go to the airport when that isn't even where the group is.
4)Probably doesn't want to pay $20-$25 each way to get to a Zipcar or other rental service.

This is just a guess, but since these are why I wouldn't want to take any of those options, I would assume that others would feel the same. But then, I own a car, so I would just drive to my destination.

Maybe, or maybe its evidence that they aren't actually getting enough basic funding; and are dipping into the traffic fine revenue just to make ends meet.

You seem to be under that this behavior is not corruption. Making an excuse as to why the police departments are corrupt does not in any way make them any less corrupt. The fact that they are openly corrupt and this is accepted is shameful.

I did read it, and acknowledged it in my response. You already knew that Ubuntu was a disaster, and your other example was 20 years old. Neither of those is an honest assesment of Linux. You already knew that, but you didn't want to like something else, so you intentionally sabatoged your "test" so that you could feel good about confirming your bias.

The fact that they are using the money for basic funding is an admission of corruption. It is amazing that anyone would argue against the ending of corruption in our police departments.

So, your rational as to why you like Windows better than Linux is because Windows 7 is better than a 20 year old version, as well as being better than the distribution that you constantly hear being complained about right here on Slashdot?

Your comment is a very large component of what the Anonymous poster was saying about "an illusion that we all believe"

Maybe you would like Windows better, but using a desktop that you already knew was the worst choice you could make and a 20 year old version as your comparison to the best version of Windows (which is no longer the current version) is not how you find out.
