1) Probably. They just don't run when he would need to take them, and don't go where he needs to go.
2) Probably doesn't want to pay $20-$25 each way.
3) Probably doesn't want to pay $60 bucks each way to go to the airport when that isn't even where the group is.
4)Probably doesn't want to pay $20-$25 each way to get to a Zipcar or other rental service.
This is just a guess, but since these are why I wouldn't want to take any of those options, I would assume that others would feel the same. But then, I own a car, so I would just drive to my destination.
Maybe, or maybe its evidence that they aren't actually getting enough basic funding; and are dipping into the traffic fine revenue just to make ends meet.
You seem to be under that this behavior is not corruption. Making an excuse as to why the police departments are corrupt does not in any way make them any less corrupt. The fact that they are openly corrupt and this is accepted is shameful.
I did read it, and acknowledged it in my response. You already knew that Ubuntu was a disaster, and your other example was 20 years old. Neither of those is an honest assesment of Linux. You already knew that, but you didn't want to like something else, so you intentionally sabatoged your "test" so that you could feel good about confirming your bias.
What sort of content can be created with a stylus on a tablet?
Drawings? Have you ever tried to draw a picture with a mouse?
The real answer though, is that this device is a full Windows computer. So, just about any content that could be created on a desktop could be created on this device.
The fact that they are using the money for basic funding is an admission of corruption. It is amazing that anyone would argue against the ending of corruption in our police departments.
So, your rational as to why you like Windows better than Linux is because Windows 7 is better than a 20 year old version, as well as being better than the distribution that you constantly hear being complained about right here on Slashdot?
Your comment is a very large component of what the Anonymous poster was saying about "an illusion that we all believe"
Maybe you would like Windows better, but using a desktop that you already knew was the worst choice you could make and a 20 year old version as your comparison to the best version of Windows (which is no longer the current version) is not how you find out.
Do you really think that it is the engineers are making the decision to hide defect? Really? Human shield busness tactics are half of our problem in getting companies to behave responsibly.
Yep, although if I was on a jury, I would see that list as evidence GM had premeditated any deaths caused be safety problems as well premeditated hiding evidence from the court.
Cruel and unusual punishiment? I'm pretty sure that if I was on a jury, and was told that the prison was blatantly commiting crimes in front of a prisoner who was doing time for the same crime, I would consider it both "cruel" and "unusual".
The movie is being shown in a business. It is being done for profit since it is being done in the context of running that business. None of the viewers are personal guests of the prison. They are all their in the context of that prising doing business. This is a public performance for profit. Definitly WAY into illegal territory.
GPS data is no less reliable than eye witnesses. GPS data IS EVIDENCE. If the cops won't use it, that doesn't change the fact that it IS EVIDENCE. Any argument that would render GPS data as not being evidence would apply exactly the same to eye witnesses and then some.
If you notice, I was specifically clear that I was not arguing any specific mechanism or outcome. I was just pointing out a flawed hypothisis. This is one of the reasons so many people are sceptical. Those that are trying to convince us of AGW do not listen to what is being said. They frequently repeat arguements that are non-sequitor to what was stated.
I had an employer send a few of us to an 8 hour course once. When we got back he was shocked and horrified that I told him I wasn't an expert and he should sell my services as one.
It is a saying, but it is a very poor author that would use it in this context. When discussing a problem with a company called 'Apple', using a saying that also uses the word "apple" as an object containing a problem would only be used by the most incompetent of writers if they were not trying to make a play on words.
There are two problems with your response. First, the name calling. Second, your link is to a trolling site. Read the post and its responses. They don't argue from a position of fact. They argue using a 'ends justifies the means' format to 'win' their argument.
I'm not disagreeing with you, but my point was that it isn't because patents are prescribed by the Constitution. It is because patents ARE regulation. Shoes are footwear. Republicans are people. Bicycles are two wheeled vehicles, and patents ARE government regulation. It goes beyond reasonable and correct. Regulation is what patents are made of.
The difference is that when you own a home, you can make the situation better.
Use any of the current Mint versions. It is the distro that took over for Ubuntu when Ubuntu decided to screw up their UI.
My guesses:
1) Probably. They just don't run when he would need to take them, and don't go where he needs to go.

Renting sucks.

Besides, when sitting at a desk (as you would with a laptop or desktop), you can use a mouse and keyboard with the Surface.

Wait. Police investigate crimes that don't have a payoff now? When did that happen?

Exactly. If this is a private performance, then every movie theater in the country is a private performance.

Schools have already been caught doing this, and no one went to jail.

I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not...
