    Point of note:

    "You think you're being sportsman-like and friendly when in reality you are being uncompetitive and childish."

    The man's entire worldview revolves around how he is the one true savior of the one true Tribes gametype and everyone else who doesn't just agree with him but actively assist him in harassing the rest until they also join is a part of some vast conspiracy led by a guy named Qing to ensure that Tribes dies and nobody plas it.

    He's basically singlehandedly trolled everyone except a small handful of "competitive" players so hard that they gave up even trying to play.

    Tragically this is because the degradation is instead shifted to the editors. Slashvertisements, things in "ask slashdot" that should instead get someone redirected to google, and kdawson....

    Tribes2's been reactivated thanks to tribesnext, but it's basically on life support again thanks to one particularly sociopathic "competitive" player.

    Serious Sam HD is out and supposedly has a reworked netcode so it'll work better now. It's basically a 1:1 with new graphics and a new engine as far as I know but tbh when it comes to Serious Sam I'm fine with that. Some singeplayer is worth replaying.

    Quality? I've been playing AA since before the "Honor" system was added and I assure you that word does not belong in any sentence referring to the game.

    Yeah because $52.99 is such a big difference... I've never seen a used price from them that was even near $10 less than retail.

    Part of the problem is everybody only quotes aggregates of the professional reviews. Take Farcry2 PC for example. Metacritic's Pro-review aggregate is 85/100 from 34 reviews. The user rating revew is 5.4/10 from ~580 reviews.

    The whole thing reads more like the author just wants to take a cheap shot against "Paul", who just gives up whenever something gets boo hoo hard. I've seen people who absolutely cannot stand sudoku/rpg style games spend DAYS trying to solve fiendishly difficult custom portal maps.

    i think that bears repeating, really the only reason he was found is because he pretty much did the digital equivalent of walking around with a neon sign on his head.

    The average person can dissapear quite effectively from pretty much anyone except the govt or groups with similar power.

    This is microsoft we're talking about, I don't think any non-physical action is even CAPABLE of hurting them at this point. They've just got too much money to harm by anything short of either a standard oil style breakup of the company.
