It is not just Trump and his merry band of tax cheats. The tyranny is supported hook, line, and sold soul by the Evangelicals. They are the U.S.'s Taliban. They are just as mindlessly religious in their intolerance and given half a chance, they'd be happy to lock up anyone who doesn't parrot their beliefs. The U.S. gets all funky over the Chinese treatment of the Uighurs, but where is the outrage from the Evangelicals over the U.S.'s tent camp for children of illegal aliens? Where is the outrage over separating families? Where is the Evangelical push to fund aid and development programs for the countries in C. America that are the source of these migrants?

Just where are the Evangelicals? Where is their Christian faith now that they cannot be Christians given how badly their souls have been blackened by supporting Trump?

  17. NSA wouldn't want Ron Johnson in NSA's pocket. They know he's as stupid as he says. Once in a committee hearing on stock pricing on Wall Street he explained that he used to pay gobs to trade but can now do so for $19.99 per trade, so what's the problem. The fact that money was being skimmed due to timing issues on trades wasn't something he could understand as a law enforcement issue.

Of course the skimming wasn't tied to Hillary or to those naughty Benghazis so he probably thought it was okay.

  18. What we need is a phone that will read texts for people. It doesn't have to do anything else with them.

  19. We are not. About 700,000-600,000 years ago, there was a common ancestor.

But truth be known, what really happened back then was that some of us were a bit more furry than others of us. A great controversy sprung up about the meaning of fur. Eventually it was decided that the furry ones and the less furry ones would separate into two groups to preserve civility.

Cats, realizing their chance had come at last, cozied up to the less furry ones knowing they secretly desired fur. They also cozied up to the furry ones passing themselves off as their foreign cousins. Cats have reaped the benefits ever since and have no intention of stopping their control of the human race.

Reagan didn't slash fed money to fund his tax cuts. In fact, he got taken to the cleaners by Tip O'Neill who promised to cut expenditures but didn't. Reagan initially thought he could cut fed money for research but ultimately that never happened because some of the programs he wanted required basic research. So stop making shit up. And relying on Noam Chomsky isn't a point in your favor.

Now the current and fake president probably will result in lower R&D spending outside of DoD. The only way he'll succeed in doing this is with the cooperation of Republicans in Congress who are more than happy to declare the only science we'll ever need is either in the Bible or created by companies. Any Party that holds Marsha Blackburn (R) of Tennessee in high regard cannot be trusted with the reins of power.

  22. There's stupid confrontation with China and then there is intelligent confrontation with China. Trump's is the stupid kind by giving the Chinese rump government the tools with which to fight back. And pissing off the U.S. allies, screwing up other trade agreements, etc. is not a recipe for successfully countering Chinese aggression.
