You can have my landline when you pry it from my cold dead hands. Cells are useful on occasion, but they just are not clear enough. And they're too unreliable on the insides of many buildings. Mine doesn't work at all if I go into my basement.
I really hate talking to people on cell-phones. No one can understand anyone else, some of the time (less frequently, nowadays) you get that echoey-reverb thing going... Anyway. Go copper.
I personally do not play or really enjoy MMOGs, but... Oh my God! The developers invest tons of money and man-hours into the game, on an ongoing basis, and still have the gall to charge for new content, and access to their network? Pshaw! They should all work for free! And it's not like tremendous amounts of bandwidth cost anything.
That game had the best line I've ever seen on a game box. "And killing zombies isn't just fun, it's rewarding! A blistering fury of exploding zombie flesh awaits your every keystroke."
I suspect that we are on the planet where some people are gaming enthusiasts, and are willing to toss that much money into a computer. Some people are into cars, some computers, other folks do other things. No one's saying you have to.
Damn rock-hugging hippies. Get a job! ;)
There are soooo many jokes here about the average /.er's hygiene. You're lucky I was too lazy to properly formulate one and typed this one instead!
Yes, I believe that was the joke. Congratulations. ;)
I think we'd have a lot more "Woohoo!" arguments if it were Microsoft vs. RIAA. Whoever loses, we win!
Best to spellcheck your own post before bitching about someone else's typo, yes? ;)
Did you just say that Doom and Quake mods are Countrstrike clones? I... brain hurt...
