These are actual numbers of consoles at each of these stores in my area on their respective launch days.
There is no way on earth that the PS3 sold 2/3 of the number of Wiis. My estimation is that the Wii outsold the PS3 on respective launch days by a factor of 4 or more. There have only been a small handful of PS3s since then, so my worldwide estimates are:
Tell that to the two dozen people who were turned away from my local Toys R Us on preorder day before the store opened because there were already 20 people in line for the 20 systems by 7:30 AM.
I don't think the issue is actual hardware support.
Something may be supported on linux.. but *getting it to work* can be maddening.
I just recently built an HTPC using an nVidia GeForce 6100-based motherboard. It literally took me hours to get the nVidia drivers installed properly. I spent hours more trying to get the SPDIF output of the motherboard working. I couldn't. I had to buy a new sound card and tell various applications to use a different sound system, then configure the mixer application to run a different command just to give me a god damned volume control.
In Windows, I go to nvidia.com and download the god damn executable and hit "open". That's the end of it. The installer installs the driver and then it just works. That's how virtually every piece of hardware works on Windows. You download the file and run it. End of story. In some cases you may have to unzip a file and then run the executable in it, or even use the "Add Hardware" wizard to select the file you just downloaded. There's none of the bullshit you have to go through to get stuff working in linux.
Read the article for NPR's actual complaints. The summary is misleading. The article is a conglomeration of actions from the National Association of Broadcasters as well as NPR.
The spokesperson went on to confirm, "When and if this happens, then of course we will be providing a service to exchange these items."
Sure, they'll provide a service to replace your batteries or whatever.. but you'll probably be able to get a new controller on eBay for less than they're going to charge you for a replacement.
The "money graph" shows that oil production is peaking "now" and will decline indefinitely.
Does that strike anyone else as somewhat.. skeptical?
They basically project that what we're getting *RIGHT NOW* is the most we'll ever get. Considering that oil production has basically been increasing for the past 20 years (graph), that's some leap to make.
Why are you comparing supermarket stuff from the US to specialty store stuff in France? That's like comparing Wal-Mart furniture to fine hand-crafted furniture.
There are plenty of quality bakeries in the US. While they may not in general be as good as the ones in France, they are far superior to supermarkets.
I would bet it hasn't. Shagging a member of a small, close-knit team that's focused on a very dangerous, mentally and physically demanding mission is a huge no-no.
Astronauts are going to be very highly trained and motivated. No woman who has gotten herself that far would bang someone on a mission, and no guy that intelligent and ambitious would risk his entire life and career on a stupid stunt like that.
You can make all the irrelevant points you want, but a body falling towards the Earth's surface from a bridge is not in zero gravity. The body is not even in microgravity. It feels somewhat like zero gravity (if you were in zero gravity with a ton of wind!), but it's still *not* zero gravity. End of story.
In the corner, out of the way. :)

It did for me.
There are a lot of monitors that are HDCP compatible.
I have one.
The other trick is more having a graphics card that is HDCP compatible. Those are hard to come by, but most of the newer ones are.
HD DVD discs are outselling Blu-Ray discs by a large margin, at least at Amazon.

I think Microsoft isn't targeting newspaper readers with ads for the Zune.
I've seen a number of Zune commercials at the movie theater, and NYC is plastered with billboards and bus stop and subway ads.

Next time, read the article.
The actual article summarizes several complaints. One of NPR's main complaints was about the FM transmitters.
No. NPR has two stations on Sirius.

WTF do you call component?
I guess I'm not getting HD out of my cable box. Weird, cause my TV says it's receiving a 1080i input.
I think that's funny. You obviously didn't actually look in a dictionary, because "pron" is in every dictionary.
Firefox doesn't show any words with a number in them as misspelled.
Also, it does not show Firefox as an error. It shows firefox as an error.

No one told me that Free Software was about beating Microsoft at all costs.

Kim Jong-il: "OMGWTFLOL!!!!11111111 Tell CNN we just blew up our nuclear shit!!!!11111"
Aide: "But the Americans have instruments and stuff that would be able to measure the radiation released..."
Kimg Jong-il: "ROFLLLLLLLLL WE're so awesome there was no radiation leaked!!!1111~~~~~~~"

Electric gas, huh? ;)

My opinion of course
I'd think that it would be Windows on the right, MacOS in the center, and Linux on the left. :>

I love a world where you can say "the peanut butter jelly banana" and everyone knows what you're talking about.
I guess I didn't realize a phase change was a chemical reaction.
I guess I need to go back and take all my chemistry classes again.
Endothermic? Check.
;)
Reaction?
What is the ice "reacting" with?
