She couldâ(TM)ve agreed to disagree professionally and left it at that. Ignored further inquiries or insults. But no, sheâ(TM)s a triggered child and had to lash out as a representative of her company.

I work for one of the largest healthcare industry companies in the world and while we are encouraged to be participate on social media, we are not allowed to argue with others or defend the company other than offering to report complaints. I comment on my companyâ(TM)s posts, but I donâ(TM)t respond to other people even if itâ(TM)s positive as shit can get so twisted.

Apple Pencil is actually a really nice stylus albeit expensive. My company bought me one and the iPad Pro to go with it. Much more comfortable to write with than the rubber tipped styluses out there.

  14. Siri fucking sucks on Apple's Stumbling HomePod Isn't the Hot Seller It Wanted (bloomberg.com) · · Score: 1

I’m a iOS and Mac (for day to day, windows is for games) guy and I’ll tell you Siri fucking sucks. She is too focused on keywords and not context. I gave up on her when I’d ask for directions and she’d google shit. Oh, and the directions suck. I hit a clover leaf on the interstate and she had me drive over three leafs of it to hit the next highway.

  16. Maybe a deal breaker for me on Amazon's Music Storage Service Will Remove MP3 Files on April 30 (theverge.com) · · Score: 1

I'm a Amazon Unlimited Music subscriber since I travel a lot and consume music. Some folks say I'm a sucker "renting" music, but why pay for all of those tracks I will get bored with? It gets expensive. On a subscription plan, I can listen to most artist's latest album and have no buyer's remorse if it sucks. I do pay for tracks I can't get enough of and download them to my sprawling library at home. That library also has MP3s ripped from CD that are long gone and not available on the streaming plans out there. That's where the upload option for Amazon came in for me. Maybe moving on to itunes radio, but rumor has it apple is getting rid of itunes and I'm not sure how I'll end up syncing said music to my phone.

  17. These dumb fucks will never have the credit to buy one, but even if they do they'll default on their first mortgage. Then they'll have to rent from me me meeeeee.

  18. Yeah, he’s there baby sitting the new tech but, assuming the vehicle didn’t slow down, could he have intervened if he wasn’t distracted? 19. My employer disclosed why on Ask Slashdot: Should You Tell Your Coworkers How Much You Make? · · Score: 1

While it is frowned upon, my employer knows my peers and I talk about what we make. Hell, a third of our income is black and white performance pay that everyone knows across the board. So my director and I sat down and he discussed my merit raise, which I earned the maximum, and he said “Now, when your peers ask why you got the maximum, because a few of them didn’t, and they want to know why... here’s why: ...” and he went down a list of objective performance criteria. There is a similar criteria for new hire base salaries: experience, education, etc. and they’ll gladly go over it with you if you think you deserve more.
