Then we should deliberately insult you for not using spell-check. Many people on Slashdot have disabilities (including, but not limited to the one you have) that prevent them from writing correctly the first time. They usually try harder than the rest and can even get better average results than the people that just don't care about it. Same goes for those who don't have English as their first language. Writing correctly is a matter of respect and courtesy for everybody why will read your comment - while I understand your purpose with this post I don't agree with it.
Conclusion: at least paste text in word/oo.writer/whatever and spell-check.
Average is 6000 maybe if only blitting in 2D... Usually you lock max to the refresh rate - e.g. 100Hz. However with a better card you can set more graphics options (in-game / aniso / anti-alias etc.) to "high" and still get a usable framerate (over 40 fps; preferably over 60 and without stuttering).
Dunno about your IDE's, but mine use docked windows and usually there's a column of stuff on the right and another one on the left, so the actual code/design gets squashed in the middle. Widescreen helps with that..
Hmm - let's see: support whatever you're using [maybe an abacus or an ironing board - who knows..] or expend less resources and give proper features [zoom, mirror, pretty graphics] to the vast majority of computer users. Tough choice, ain't it?
Macromedia announced they don't plan on making a linux shockwave plugin - go make your own or, if you don't like that, go make a better alternative. Just go. <g,d>
Finest carrier? The same that censors internet access for large swaths of a continent based on moral concerns of some organisation in one country? (and I'm not talking about China - it's Europe and Germany)
Ah c'mon NASA - where do I put my gmail address? How are those nice plutonians and future terrans supposed to contact me otherwise? (btw: could somebody calculate how much space i'll have in my inbox until then? spam not included...)
Well, it might be monitoring software, which has plenty of legal uses (you could install it on your own computer to catch entry attempts). Or maybe surveillance (it could view the webcam), even remote control if it had the function.
Don't confuse the program itself with the way it was marketed (or sent - that was the problem).
You seem not to get the point: if that guy was a race driver _instructor_ , then he was probably a very good driver and knew the track like the back of his wrinkled... hand. He'd have had times on par with Schumi (on the same car, of course). Also with that level of experience he wouldn't need much accomodation time.
JohnJacksonGLUTTONY?
Not high priority enough for me
the meaning of life is 54? our latest computation turned out 101010, but some meddling humans stopped us from getting the question too...
Actually in Europe we can pay ~8$/gallon, so it can go much higher over there too.

Thanks for making it this way - it looks nice and it's pretty easy to read (the font is a tad small though).
You might remember that the light's frequency is different from radio-frequency - they have the same nature but they're not the same thing.
I think that quote doesn't apply at the zoo... IIRC the author of the quote was a war photographer that died following this credo.
Hmm - so if this would have been XP fixboot/fixmbr _wouldn't_ have solved it?
Actually he could have used the OS boot CD directly...

A Gauss rifle and some power armor might be better
The pictures of their dead don't have the same value as a quarter, do they? [i suspect quarters would have been accepted...]
Not meeting them is a sign of a busy schedule, but not receiving letters is a sign of not being interested at all in the plebs problems.

The hardware, office supplies and advertisements sellers don't claim their stuff is free (speech / beer / STD or otherwise) - maybe lead-free...
Actually the word you're looking for is "xenophobic", but it still doesn't apply completely.
No it doesn't - it's optical too... now the MX1000, G5 and G7 are indeed laser mice...

The original meaning was probably something like "escape from being sucked into the black hole", but it didn't escape contraction ;>
Well, you probably don't have any children in your care right now, nor should you... (same here though ;>)
That's what "salting" is for - you add a certain marker to each pass before hashing...
