  1. Does anybody actually use it? on Anti-Spyware Bill up for Vote in Congress · · Score: 0

I have always wondered something... do some hopeless dumb dolts actually use spyware? I mean... some idiot might think weatherbug or bonzi buddy could be helpful. Some please respond...

  2. Have you forgotten your idol? on Would You Hire A Hacker? · · Score: 2, Insightful

Excuse me fellas... Kevin Mitnick was a hacker/cracker. By saying because he is a criminal and you wouldn't hire him... I pose another question... would you hire Kevin Mitnick? How about Steve Wozniak (I know he wasn't a cracker... not that we know anyways)? True he is definitely not as skilled as Mr. Mitnick (whom I have tremondous amounts of respect for) but this kid definitely has got some skills. I would definitely hire him.

Oh god... a new mouse?!? Whatever shall we do... will it improve my Counter-Strike record? No? Well... then what's the use of it?

  5. Nerd's Can't Complain Now! on Odds-on Science · · Score: 2, Insightful

Well... the old argument again. I can hear experts telling us that "gambling is for weak minded fools with no thought of odds..." But what about this... you think your average Jack or Joe (depending on demographics) is going to place a bet on this??? I think not! The only people that will bet on this are going to be people like us... slashdotter nerds. I bet you 1:1 odds that we can beat the system. SLASHDOTTERS!!! UNITE!!! Oh yeah... by the way... someone help me place a $500 dollar bet on nuclear fusion (I'm too young to bet)!

  6. This might be political?!? on Munich to Go Ahead with Linux After All · · Score: 5, Insightful

With the trouble the US has had with Europe, this very well might be political. Microsoft is a very big US company and switching from Microsoft to identityless software may improve the mood of some Europeans. This is not a unfounded belief. Korea-Japan-China initiative to develop an alternative OS was to depend less on the US software industry. The result was Red Flag Linux.

  7. Yeah Right! on Modding Game Controllers For Greater Grip · · Score: 3, Insightful

I highly doubt this could improve anybody's Counter-Strike or Unreal score. When you suck, you suck. A game controller coated in rubber isn't going to help you. It's going to give n008s another excuse to suck. Sure it wouldn't hurt, but I'm sure it wouldn't make much of a difference.

  10. Why not all languages? on TopCoder Open 2004 Programming Tournament · · Score: 1

It seems unfair to have a restriction on the languages used. They should have one defined problem with many languages to approach it.

  11. Re:Makes sense for Japanese parents on Japanese Schoolchildren to be Tagged with RFID · · Score: 1

Why don't we just chain your kids a concrete block, force them to run nude all the time. Everybody has a right to privacy. But when it harms them or somebody else, the parents have a right to step in.

  12. Damit... on First Lawsuit Against Cell-Phone Spammers · · Score: 1

They better not spam me on Peak hour charges! Then they really will feel my wrath!!! But anyways, somebody has got to do something about Spamming. First the mail, then the telephone, the internet, and now my cellphone? People buy cellphones for privacy and now we don't even have that? We should start a do not call list for CellPhone users. It's not violating their first amendment right. It's excersing our rights to freedom of information (or lack thereof if we don't want to listen to it.)
