How did you instruct them? Did you send them an email, which they ignored with the other 20 emails they get every week? That is not a good way to instruct people. Do you have a training session whenever anyone new comes into the company? Do you send out fake email to try to trick people, redirecting them to a site that tells them off?
Who cares whether they are first or last place, only the fanboys. What is important is if they are making money. Which, they aren't, but maybe one day.
For some reason, \ Not for some reason, for the most obvious reason. These companies make large amounts of money. They can either invest it in the bank, but flowers for everyone on the planet, or TRY TO MAKE MORE MONEY BY INVESTING IN OTHER AREAS. I am confused why so many people seem not to understand this. Microsoft did it with Xbox, PocketPC, Bing. Apple did it with iPod, iPhone, iPad. IBM did it with the IBM PC, consultancy. Amazon did it with selling to other markets. EVERYBODY DOES IT, BECAUSE IT IS FUCKING OBVIOUS.
You seem to be a little confused. Power, Information all means more money. Microsoft gave away IE so they could control the internet, which means more money. They can control the homepage, search engine, create the most popular brower, create the dev environment which server pages (ActiveX,.Net)... and more, to make more money.
Why have you been using it from the beginning, because it returns better results (which was simply not true in the beginning, but it has gotten better over the months), or because you are a MS fanboy? I can't think of any reason that you would jump on it so quickly.
Ha, this is great, I never noticed this before, but it is so true. You have a header, usually a grahpic that stands out from the rest of the page, and a page of results.
Ha, ha, ha, yeah, I here that all the time. People walking down the street, complaining about Apple's control. What a fucking joke, wake up and join the real world. A small technical elite might make such pronouncements, the majority do not care about this stuff.
It is morons like the guys you are responding to, who take flying for granted, that demand to never be inconvenienced in this amazing world, who really don't deserve to be let on a plane again.
I agree with you, and actually do think that as a developer, I am privileged to work on the iPhone system, and appreciate the efforts Apple have made to make it so easy to earn money from their device.
However, you say the rules are out there, but they do keep changing them, like the recent 3.3.1 change that forbids using some tools and frameworks.
Also, a few months ago they removed 1000 of apps, some which have been on the store for over a year. Now, I agree with them removing a number of these apps, they were trash, but some of the apps they removed were useful, like wifi finders.
You are confused. Apple has started their own ad system for the iPhone, they haven't stopped anyone else from running their own ads, or doing with a different ad system.
It is a HUGE stretch to think that they will ban other ad systems from being used, this will get them in lots of trouble.
They also have it in Southern California. We opted out. My mother is 90 and my sister has MS and can't handle hot weather very well. Me, I think it's a stupid idea for consumers.
So how does your mother handle blackouts? You understand that this is why companies are doing it, right? They don't want to control you.
It is camouflaged as the iPhone 3g moron. What would you be more surprised by, an Apple employee walking around with a 3g, or a completely different looking phone with a blank back?
I think the iPhone is a shiny toy that barely deserves to be called a phone. The iPad as it stands now is a rather lackluster first effort that would have failed immediately without Apple's mindshare behind it.
So you are a moron? This has nothing to do with being an Apple zealot, the iPhone was a game changer (I hate that term), look at all the copycats out now. It made the phone a greater device, made the internet a pleasure to use on a portable device, and gave us some many useful apps.
No matter what you think about Apple, only a complete and utter moron would not accept that. It kicked Google into realising the importance of controlling the mobile OS, it kicked Microsoft into improving their offering, and has spurred increased development into the space.
Fuck off, this is a cheap argument. Droid was pushed very heavily.
Now, a more reasonable reason to explain Apple's dominance is that they are very well known, but they have also been around for an extra 2 years. Android is making great gains in that time.
Ha, you made a funny, because his last name is Dick.
Also, PKD didn't write scripts, he wrote stories. There is still going to be someone to write the script on the story, and they can royally fuck it up, don't you worry about that.
So people who do not have much sense get an iPad and a windows machine? Because this doesn't affect people who are running Mac OS?
So you are suggesting that all people with iPads/iPhones/iPods should get rid of their virus-ridden Windows box?
How did you instruct them? Did you send them an email, which they ignored with the other 20 emails they get every week? That is not a good way to instruct people. Maybe you are the problem?
What do you not understand about this guy clearly not being very technically minded. What do you not understand about this guy being young?
He doesn't know what you know, why are you trying to decide what he should know?
When does that ever make any sense?
You have just shown yourself to be ever more stupid than you preceive the article writer to be.
Who cares whether they are first or last place, only the fanboys. What is important is if they are making money. Which, they aren't, but maybe one day.
If we err to err, I'd rather we erred err erred err err errer erred.

It does make you worry a little bit.

Is it censorship to stop me from painting my slogan on the side of your car? Or your house?
Apple provides the hosting environment, where the app is downloaded from. Whether they gain or not has absolutely nothing to do with this issue.
This is clearly a contentious issue, and I can see both sides of the argument.

Yes, until the next facebook/twitter comes along in a few months. Since it doesn't have a built in app for that, will she still love it?
Fuck off, this is a cheap argument. Droid was pushed very heavily.

I am pretty sure most people got that. It was an important point of the film, trying to figure out whether it was real, or all in Quaids head.
It is similar to blade runner (version without the voice over), where we are left trying to figure out whether he was a runner himself?
I always liked the fact that these points were not answered in the films.
Didn't work for the film version of screamers. The transition worked well, but was just too long. Felt like the dragged it out.
Did you go see Moon, last year? No, well that is why they don't make many hard sci-fi. Because even the people who supposedly like it don't go see it.
The book I most liked, was Lies inc. Amazing story, the first PKD that I read as well, when I was about 14. Was not expecting that.
Maybe if you ONLY use PS, that is fine. But I don't, and I do not run any windows full screen. I fuckin hate PS.
Surely not watching TV is an option, or is that something you would never ever consider?
