Saying you are a christian to me, is no different to saying you believe in the ancient greek gods, or believe in UFOs, or you believe in Santa Claus as an adult.
THe funny thing is, 2008 is not that much different to 2005, so if you have done 2005, you have experience with 2008. Oh, it might take you an hour or two to learn of the new features.
That is a logically consistent sentence, unless you think that >30% of programmers that exist in the world are here on slashdot commenting about how great they are. I think the pool of programmers is a bit larger than that.
Ever have a phone before the new Nokias? EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM NEVER GAVE YOU ROOT, on your own device as well. Ever own a SNES, NEW, Megadrive, etc...
The movie was bad, so bad it was a disgrace. The fact that you like it says more about your taste than anyone elses. I bet you like most movies now, good for you. That is a lucky way to be, one of my mates is like that, but I would never trust his opinion on a movie.
The problem we have is that it could, so easily, have been a good movie, and kept all the other aspects that made it so popular. It doesn't have to be a bad story, that can easily be fixed (well, ok, not easily, considering that editing can destroy a lot of movies).
That doesn't say who owns the patents, but this shows how stupid America pushing IP is... it's just going to bite us back bigtime when India/China compete on the high end.
You have it the wrong way around. Why do you think the US is pushing patent policy ALL AROUND THE WORLD. Because it is all they have, they don't have the manufacturing capacity anymore, the don't have the numbers, all they have is the lead FOR NOW. So they get all the patents on stuff at the beginning, they can keep the money rolling in when these countries start to produce R&D results.
The same reason they are pushing all IP, copyrights as well, with huge extensions.
I am surprised this obvious tactic seems to elude so many people.
But the fact is, to the surprise of all, THERE IS MORE THAN ONE MULTITOUCH PATENT. Amazing I know, how can there be more than one patent on any particular subject, but there is. (this is directed not at you, but at the moron you replied to).
If you start throwing people in holes, then you become bigger assholes than the people you are disposing off. Of course, the advantage is that the guy who throws you in the hole will be the a lesser asshole than you, so he can probably survive.
You completely miss the point. The whole problem with Amazon/BN vs Apple, is that Amazon/BN make their money from books, whereas Apple will make their money from the hardware. Apple is not looking for much of a profit on books, just like it doesn't make much of a profit from Music or Apps. They are in the hardware game.
No, nor are you the only person happy to just have a telephone at home, no use for a mobile. Nor are you the only person to just want a computer with a monochrome display, that also stays at home. Nor are you the only person who just wants to stay at home, no need for fancy air-o-planes.
SO maybe you can shut the fuck up, and stay at home, while the rest of us enjoy the advancing world we live in.
Almost every single poster in this article has widely missed the point. The fact, people living in slums use a lot less resources than anbody else in the world. That is why it is green, not because they are painted green, or have lots of trees. As the world population expands, we have less resources to go around. THIS IS WHY WE CAN LEARN MORE. Nobody is saying we should all live like this, but is things don't change, We will. Go read 'make room, make room or soylent green.
Yeah good point. Most people like buying stuff without touching it. That is what almost all shops have closed down now, despite being more expensive that their online counterparts.
Got to have that quake with software rendering. We all know that software rendering is much superior to what the hardware could ever do, well, maybe in 10 years the hardware will have caught up. Moron.

Must be able to developer in Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP sp1, Windows XP SP2, Windows Xp SP3, and Windows XP Sp4.

Ok, fair enough, but do you refuse to buy a console?

Let me guess, your new nickname is Cun? So much easier when you drop off the -ty, but I would blame your parents for that.
I really don't understand why these companies insist on changing from a Per-Socket to a Per-Core pricing scheme
Really? You don't understand why companies change the rules to make more money? Do you not grasp the concept of capitalism, profits?
Yeah, but we all hate you. This girl was hot, so completely different situation.

Computers came out before consoles. I think you and Jesse are being very selective with your examples.
I though nuking them from orbit was the only way to be sure. Probably want them to be more than 100 feet from the office though.
It is not a lie. There is not only one answer to this. The world is not black and white.

Ha ha ha. I literally laughed my head off.
GPRS is a ridiculously fast os, probably the fastest in the world, when setup correctly. We used to use it for our cluster of 2000 cores.
Yeah good point. Most people like buying stuff without touching it. That is what almost all shops have closed down now, despite being more expensive that their online counterparts.
No, people like you would still be whinging.
It has 64gb disk space, supports USB, looks like it might come with w webcam down the line.
The fact is, a lot of people want an easier computer to use. Why don't the morons here understand that??
Got to have that quake with software rendering. We all know that software rendering is much superior to what the hardware could ever do, well, maybe in 10 years the hardware will have caught up. Moron.
You see, it is not the actual hardware or software quality that makes an Apple an Apple. It's the brand.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA
This never gets old. In fact, every single time somebody talks about Apple, and this hilarious joke comes up, it gets funnier and funnier.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA
