  1. Re:RIAA Silly on Starting a Software Business in Today's Economy? · · Score: 2

You seem to be implying that Programmers have some sort of moral objections for working in the RIAA. I think this is bullshit. It is a lot easier being a moralist when you are already getting paid, and i think most programmers or engineers do not take the company into consideration, when they are being offered a job.

You Idiot, this proves nothing. Philips invented the CD, almost everybody know this, and if you care to do some real research, you will see this. Philips approached Sony, therefore, "they almost didn't invent the CD" is incorrect.

How will Playboy and Penthouse stay in business without the occasional blockbuster sales brought by an issue with candid shots of some current celebrity sunbathing nude, or a washed-up actress or singer willingly getting naked for the camera in an attempt to revive her career?

So, where do you work again? I think the main point is that DC is cheap, and can be dressed up as anything, a new pot plant, a black box, who would think that something like that, if hidden well, was causing trouble. Certainly it wouldn'y be the first thing that they would look for, if a breach was detected (unless they are /. readers)

American humour at its best is far superior to that of the UK, especially when it comes to films and sit com

I am not from the US or the UK, so lack the usual bias in interpreting these statements, but what you have just said amazes me. American humour in films and sitcoms is the worst form of trash ever, with a few notable exceptions.
