    Is it even worth trying to change people. I suppose so, but dont delude yourself into thinking that everybody is going to wake up one day.

    not so much cheaper these days...

    In Australia

    Playstation 2 = $750
    Celeron 700 system with monitor, 10gig hd, 64 meg ram = $999

    Not that much of a difference anymore...

    Of course, the ps2 will probably, slowely come down

    I live in Adelaide, Australia, and our only newspaper is the Adelaide Advertiser, the very first newspaper (and news medium of any form) to come under his clutches. I cant really remember what a real newspaper is like.

    Dont forget the Black Box they use in airplanes. The Ute - Utility truck. The BBQ. Secret ballot system - that most countries use to cast votes.

    Dreamcast had wicked games straight away. It had Soul Calibur, still the best fighting game I have ever played. Soul Blade was good on the PSX, but SC is much better. It looks incredible, and plays so fast. Crazy Taxi, another wicked game was also out from the beginning.

    Of course, this is neither here nor there. Im sure the psx2 will have good games. I wont be buying anything though, DC or PSX2. (even with DVD's) -

    Dont wont no DVD player, ohh no.

    I'm rather surprised that this comments in this story seem seems to indicate that sega believes that you should buy a card, to play pirated games.

    Dont you think that Sega would be making a rather big mistake, creating a card where by you can only play pirated games, not the games that they sell.

    And you got upped to 3????

    Just do what i do.

    Email it. From home, i can email to my uni account, and any uni computer has access to the web, at least at our uni. Then i just use the email program, and can download the file to the current computer. No disk problems.

    I though everybody did this...

    OK, so this may be construed by some people as a flame but....

    ..yesterday, my friend wanted to copy a file from one disk to another, and since we were using a uni computer, i assumed that the harddrive would be locked. So i thought, considering myself relatively smart, that i could load up the doc in word, eject the disk, put in the new disk, and save it onto the new disk. So i load it up, eject the disk, put in the new disk, and try to save it, but then it prompts me to insert the old disk. So i do so, but it seems to want me to swap diskc ad infinitem.

    What the hell is this about. Why does it even need the old disk back in the first place. This was very frustrating.

    Surely they would have fixed this in MacOSX????

    ..ahh, a common mistake to make. That is the difference between the Army and the Police force. As demonstrated when you see there training sequences. The police force have innocent bystanders pop up, which you aren't supposed to shoot. The Army have no bystanders, you shoot everyone.

    ..no you are not supposed to think before shooting. If this was true, you might decide not to shoot, for various reasons. The people in command dont want members of the Army to think, just follow their commands.

    Ok,

    but what if it tries the incorrect region first. Then the player will lock into that region, and so the will not pass the second test. And since this is in software, so discs can be set to check your way, and some to check my way.

    So if the L2 cache runs at CPU-speed, then how fast does the L1 cache. Surely it cant run faster that this, so what is the difference between L1 and L2????

    STVOY has definately got a lot better in the last two seasons.

    Although i may be biased, since i like it from the beginning, much more than DS9 and TNG, but is still seems to have improved, ever since 7of9 came aboard. And not just because of her.

    Anyway, this game is great. Best game i have played since Halflife and Opposing Force. It has a great story line, which really grabs you. And there are actually some bits where you dont shoot.

    I think the AI is a bit better han past games too, since the enemy will often try to hide, and bob up and down firing at you.

    Really, and excellent game

    this show, 'The Games' is an absolute classic, much in the vein of "Yes Minister' for our english viewers.

    I have a relative who is involved in organising the Sydney Olympics, and comments on how accurate this show really is.

    You must check this out. I am really surprised that they have it on ABC, the government station.

    Be honest, a lot of you people wouldnt watch it anyway. You aren't interested in the olympics, like a lot of other people around the world. The IOC has become what it has become out of necessity, to compete in the rating race in the modern world. It slowely grew into such a huge monolith organisation, just like Coke, and Microsoft.

    Get over it. If you dont like how it will be presented, your real bone of contention will be with NBC, or whoever is broadcasting it over there.

    Im ok, ill be going to see it. Yeah.

    I mean, they are the ones who are destroying our habitat, ripping down our houses, hunting us for fun.

    But Humans are in essence, the anit-Darwinism. Not so much with this tassy devil thing, but the way or society is organised. We spend so much time keeping sick people alive, and giving everyone the right to have children, that it is no longer about the fittest surviving, but everybody.

    Negative mutations that would have killed of a few people in the old days, are now alowed to flourish and pollute them gene pool.

    This is something that needs to be addressed.

    Is it still worth it.

    Knowledge is growing at an incredible rate, and seeming this rate is growing every day. Too often we are only concentrate on the pursuit of this knowledge, and not the benefits or harm that it may bring.

    Something to think about.
