He is talking about having the wifi on. This is a reasonable drain on the battery, and for most users make the computer useless without it. There is no way it could last for 24 hours with wifi, not yet.
What an idiotic statement. Firstly, what does this have to do with the public? It is not like the public get to vote on how money is spent, just on which party will do the spending... every single one of your point is nonsensical, as written by a 12 year old.
If you are, in fact, 10 years old, then well done. Otherwise, fuck off.
With China and India (1/3 of the world's population), and other parts of the world booming, the release of greenhouse gasses is only going to accelerate.
Booming, or you mean reaching similar levels to the West? When are you going to take responsible for your part in this. Stop blaming everyone else.
I bet the IBMs were the best, that has been my experience on repairing laptops. IBM likes to make parts interchangeable between as many models as possible.
TCP? Well, la-dee-da, are we all fancy with our connection-oriented protocols with congestion control and management. Real men use UDP, fire and forget protocol. We use our own congestion control.
Agreed, what a huge waste of space. Either this guy is working on a 70inch monitor, he is browsing 50 pages on the same website, or doesn't really have much work to do.
Yeah, you probably should have stopped playing game by now. If they still are providing more excitement than your real life, you are doing something wrong.
That is probably not WHY the icons were changed. These icons might mean something in Western culture, but when you have to train people from all over the world to use your products, they are nonsensical. Maybe it was not a sense of humour problem, but a common sense problem.
But is flash an integral part of the internet? We can clearly do most things without flash, and it wasn't there in the beginning. So when exactly did the internet come to mean IP/TCP+Flash?
Why? Because it makes things more convenient for you? This is not a good reason to have the government mandating things like this. We need less government control, less laws, not more.
If the electronic companies had any sense, they would release compatible chargers for at least there own devices, this would surely mean a boon in business. Then again, maybe not. Maybe they make more money now.
Do you mean website or webpage? For someone claiming to have knowledge of the old days, you look pretty stupid when you can't even get the terms correct.
In the old days, it was quite common for websites to be > 10 megs.
How have they gone overboard? They are cancerous, they should be handled better by the people who make them (or maybe they deserve to die of cancer, I get you love asbestos as well, not a CEO are you>?) and they should be disposed of properly. How is this anything but good?
A Chick is not a derogatory term everywhere, especially in Australia. It is equivalent to a guy, would you be offended by that. In the UK, it is considered slightly derogatory.
Wow, if only there was another way of doing this, like creating job adds paying a lot of money (but $56 million)
I think Roseanne Barr is about to go into a new business.

You can probably decrease the brightness of the screen, especially if you are in a dark room.
Pure genius. Take a system you don't really understand, but depend on for living, and drastically modify a variable to see what happens.
Do you drive a car? Right then, shut the fuck up genius, this is mainly your fault.

Surely gaming the system was one of the first thoughts for anyone who has worked at Google, and they have already come up with ways around this.

Myself, i don't think of Java and flash as regular parts of the internet, so I have no problem with their definition. It is very subjective.

Yes, only in Dubai do projects get delayed, and governments not handle sewage and other utilities properly.
Not saying Dubai is bad, but this happens everywhere. Everywhere!
Yeah, really useful, what sort of idiot didn't know this!
PS. I didn't know this.
ok, good point, well made.
They probably are forced to do it this way to avoid law suits. Clearly they don't want to put warning labels on everything, blame the lawyers.
However, Ca seems to have gone overboard.
