    There are plenty of PCs before Macbook Air that didn't have CD drives, IBM 560, X21, X41, Toshiba Portege 3110ct...these are just the ones that I have owned. How ignorant are you?

    It is not "artificially inflated", that would imply that price should be set by the cost of an item. It is not, prices main controlling factor is demand. This is they way economics works, this is the way capitalism works, and this is the way the world works.

    If you don't think it is worth that much, don't buy it, nothing changes. If everybody doesn't think it is worth that much, then the price will come down.

    Lots of athletes try to cheat to win, including US, UK and Australian. In fact, the US has the 2nd most disqualified athletes for cheating, next to Bulgaria. It is idiotic to single the Chinese out as cheaters.

    Why is there a minimum age to begin with?

    So is any age acceptable to you? What about 12? 10 years old? How about 6?

    And remember, each of these sports requires many years of training before you can compete at even the most rudimentary level.

    Because AMD and Intel both have licensing agreements with each other, and the latest x86 chips use AMD as well as Intel technology.

    This probably has more to do with the money generated from flights, more than the safety of passengers. There is a huge industry built up on getting people flying as much as possible, and if people don't feel safe doing this, then this industry loses out big time.

    Wow, your an idiot.

    The Vendors have had to work around Microsoft, who they have worked with so much in the past, to give customers something that they want, instant on Operating Systems. Windows should be able to do this by now, but it can't, because Microsoft can't or doesn't think it important. The hardware vendors have created their own OS based on Linux which does this.

    Is it really that complicated for you?

    This isn't the only difference. There are better quality parts out there, and Apple use them. Not every company is a HP or Dell, using the cheapest parts they can get.

    The value of a company (its market cap) is how much the market thinks the company is worth. It is not the value of adding sales+profit+cash. It takes into account things like future earnings, potential, people...
