It seems that the game they used in the study is not a game called "Metro3D" but a game BY Metro3D called "London Taxi" (warning - babelfish translation), a Crazy Taxi-style game. More information in this blog.
Seems like you have to get the hard drive to play "top-selling" original xbox titles.
"Xbox 360 Hard Drive (20 gb)...
* Store multiple game saves and play top-selling original Xbox games....
Why Buy: Expand your Xbox 360 content with downloadable content, rip music and play an array of original Xbox games."
I live in Sweden. I modded my PS2 only to be able to play Katamari Damashii. It cost me 895 SEK for the chip and 219 SEK for the game, about $143. It was worth it.
"whatever crappy mp3 player microsoft will certainly launch soon"
Well, one of those mp3 players ought to be the xbox 360. Not very portable though, but I'm willing to bet you can play your Micrisoft Music Store bought music in the games.
Seeing as there have been a lot of rumours about how every game made for the Xbox360 has to be able to play each users own mp3s on the machine, I'm willing to bet that Microsoft will
1: Start their own music service (à la iTunes) which you can use both on windows and on the xbox
2: Release their own music device to use as both hard drive on the xbox (for save games, etc). Also, you'll be able to play the music on those music players in your games too.
Another possibility is of course to let all Microsoft compatible music devices be able to act as a hard drive.

Yes. (I'm the AC).
Naturalmotion does a good job at what it does, but right now, as you mention, it's only to record animation, mostly falls and collision between people or objects.
So keep your DVDs. No one is forcing you to buy Blu-Ray or HD-DVD versions of them.
Honestly, I would say it's the other way around. Almost everyone I know use either firefox or mozilla here in Sweden.

Europe will get the crippled version too.
Prices here in Sweden seem to be set to 3995 SEK (about $523) for the real one and 2995 SEK (about $392) for the crippled.
Where do you connect the wired controllers? I can't find any ports for it unless you could use the memory ports.
The IGN article has more info on the differences in the two versions. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/642/642656p1.html/

When will we have a full text-to-speech game, then?
Well.. at least 'till I got the duct tape mod.

"Ni" means two in japanese. So, N(Ico).
Yeah, it's my adblock filter: /ads/
which works most of the time, but when they put the flash movie in their ad directory you know what happens.
Apparantly the trailer won't show in firefox. Might be my adblock filter though.
