Actually you can. You just need to know how to do it. You normally can not take funds without some sort of trouble but putting in funds is very simple.
I have done it several times. Usually through a wire. I can go to my bank and ask the to wire funds to acount "x". In about 4 hours they have their money.
However, if you do this I strongly suggest that you have an account just for wires. Any instance of fraud and someone could possibly wipe out your entire account.
I am aware of the threading issue. If you read the article it does not actually add the memory from every thread. It only adds the the actual usage of the program plus the usage of the Java JVM.
If I were to add the entire memory set, it would falsely show Netscape 6 taking over 80 megs of RAM all buy itself. That would not include the JVM.
I am sure that these are good people. I am sure that these are talented people. I am also sure that it is about damn time that US companies start reinvesting in the citizens of the US.
O.k. it is more complicated than that. You have UNIONS ripping companies off everyday. Companies are taxes so much that the owners have to create orifices in which to send the flow. I know all of this.
However, continuing to flood our country (no offense to other countries) with people who are not citizens is a horrific practice.
Each country should invest in their own people. If they won't, it isn't our problem.
Sorry.. Not to be harsh but the US has its own slew of problems it must deal with before we can continue to play nursemaid and teacher to others.
I own part of OpenDocs publishing (http://www.opendocspublishing.com) and as a publisher I can tell you that e-books are cool but not really financially viable.
I predict that you will see an influx of both. For example at Mightywords.Com you can buy all the Oreilly books as e-books. Of course they still cost 30.00 USD.
Either way you are going to end up paying money out for quality book-length content. Where the e-books are going to be handy is things like whitepapers, HOWTOs, short stories.
Technical books are also good in this arena because you normally don't "read" a technical book. You browse a technical book for specific answers.
Imagine you are a manager and you are looking for a whitepaper that includes specific facts about a subject. You can go to to a website and pay 7.00 USD and get that whitepaper. You can print it and use it.
It will really give a chance to struggling authors who just haven't found a publisher yet. I don't mind reading small 30-50 page stories on the net but after that, it is tough on the eyes and it is real difficult to lounge in the recliner with a 17" Monitor.
More than anything it is important to remember that companies "need" to make money. If they do not, people will not have jobs.
You may want to contact OpenDocs publishing. The specialize in short run Linux Documentation and are the creators of the OpenSource Documentation Fund.

The second addition of the Network Administrator
has been out for some time. The second edition is also on the LDP website and can be found here.
There is also a great book on security and optimization (which the NAG doesn't cover). It is called Securing and Optimizing Linux: RedHat Edition. It can also be found on the LDP Website.
It can also be purchased from LinuxCentral.Com or LinuxPorts.com and comes with two CD's.
Actually,
It can easily take over a year to develop a site.
It entirely depends on the type of site you are building.
I am about to sign a contract for my company that
will build a B2B site. The initial phase will take 4 months. The secondary phase which will take place during live use will take at least another 12 months.

Uh that is quite incorrect. KDE is very much
about doing things many different ways. Their
are perl, and python modules for QT as well
as a C one under development.
Oh and by the way, remember that whatever you do.
Whether it is perl or tcl or whatever in Gnome it
is still "c". They just have more wrappers.
That may be inflammatory but that fact is this guy was looking for trouble and he got it. This is not a situation where someone in levis and a t-shirt was questioned and retained.
It is an issue of a guy where military garb and being unwilling to cooperate with standard procedure of the police that got him arrested.
Mozilla has become more of a proof of concept than anything else. With the new browsers coming on board in full force as soon as September, (Opera, Konqueror and whatever Gnome comes up with) there is zero reason to use Mozilla.
Mozilla is quickly becoming just as bloated as it used to be. When I first downloaded Mozilla many moons ago, it was under 5 megs. It is now almost 8 and growing.
I bet it is 10-12 by release. Opera is 2.5 megs. Fast and works well.
Sorry Mozilla, I like you -- but your just an old lizard now.

If you want to watch football. Watch a league that has the sole purpose of actually playing football.
It is unlike our current "NFL" which is more interesting in saving their corporate sponsorships than entertaining an already comatose audience.

Hello,
Don't forget YellowDog guys. They are about ready to release their 2.0 version. They are also working with OpenDocs to produce a book for them.
OH you mean like Clinton?
Basically it is like MD technology but completely portable, opto-mechanical and is backwards compatible with the good old floppy.
They also hold anywhere from 120 megs to 200 megs depending on the brand and type of drive.
Uses XML I believe
I had this problem with HP Openmail. Now I know that it was Outlook 2000. Should have guessed.

Yes, the scaling issues have been fixed in 2.4.
:)
The scheduler has been completely reworked as has the SMP stability.
The 2.4 kernel although does not have everything in it, is the first kernel to truly address some enterprise level concerns.
It even includes RAW devices for databases

Just because it does not show linux in its setup doesn't mean crap.
It uses LDP print to the port!!!

This can be summed up very simply.
Format a floppy in Windows. Try to launch an
application while formatting said floppy.
Do the same with KDE.
Uh that is quite incorrect. KDE is very much

He deserved it.
but for some reason they stopped making them for PC'c?
I wonder why.
Means that they bought UNIXWARE and OpenServer.
OpenServer is a piece of crap but UNIXWARE is pretty cool.
For those who don't know UNIXWARE is the "last" and "latest" of the "ereal" unix kernels from AT&T.
This could be very good for Linux if Caldera opens it up.
This highly depends on your chipset. With my Aopen Board which runs the old MVP3+ (Apollo?) chipset. I can get 27 megs a second with my UDMA66 drives.
Ony my DFI motherboard I can not get above 12.

Several car makers including Toyota and Honda have
released hybrid gas-electric cars. They are available in the US and they are not too expensive.
It is not the best choice but it is a step in the
right direction.
Unfortunately it would be near impossible to release wordperfect as true OpenSource without
severely crippling the initial release.
WordPerfect contains ALOT of other peoples
code. Code that Corel does not OWN. This will
make it infinately difficult to Open Source.
I think it is a great idea, and would help them
IF the could pull it off.
