    For example, Glibc is LGPL'd because FSF knows that if it was GPL'd, then some Unix vendor would push projects to ignore Glibc and use their proprietary libc instead.

    ODing on Vitamin C is not the problem.

    It's quite the problem and quite difficult. When the human body has too much vitamin C, it starts getting rid of the excess through anal leakage.

    Are you sure the keys are burned in during manufacturing? When you remote wipe an iPhone, it wipes the key and the contents become inaccessible. If the key itself is hard coded in hardware, that's not exactly possible to do directly.

    And if they were hardware keys, Apple could extract those. They can't. See Apple's iOS Security Guide page 15 for reference.

    The market in the land of make-believe in which every competitor is actually a market unto itself. Like claiming Apple has a monopoly on Macs or a monopoly on AppleTVs despite the fact Macs and AppleTVs are competitors to others.

    Of course it was annoying for everybody else but if people could just ignore the license when it was incompatible or inconvenient the GPL would have died out long ago.

    Nothing to do with that. VLC doesn't require developers to assign copyright to the main project (unlike most other GPL software). The jerk claimed his own copyright rights in order to pull VLC from the App Store because he didn't like Apple.

  11. There are medications that can do that. Namely, SSRIs. So can a severe vitamin B12 deficiency. Mixing SSRIs with a severe vitamin B12 deficiency you better believe it! Namely the neurological side-effects can cause severe tremors and other loss of motor control leading to the inability to walk, feed yourself, or anything else that requires fine motor control.

    Gah, it sucked ass.

    VP9 (which isn't even specified yet, so that's pretty much a blank check from MPEG LA

    If you look at how VP8 was based on a draft of either MPEG-4 Part 2 or MPEG-4 Part 10 (or both) then VP9 will be based on a draft of H.265 from 2007 or some such.

    It has nothing to do with the size of the apps themselves but instead all the bits of the architecture needed to support those apps.

    You're only supposed to be able to use Metro apps and Office, according to Microsoft, on the Surface RT and these tools aren't needed to do that.

    Why does a tablet need a file system browser, a registry editor, DirectX diagnostic tools, notepad, or a command prompt?

    All those really exist in Windows RT on the Surface. They don't need to be there. It's supposed to be a freakin tablet. They could have made a lot more space available by removing a lot of these types of things.

    Huh? Humans need sugar, salt, and water to live. It's got nothing to do with modern human's ancestors were like. We must have a sugar in our diet to live.

    It feeds us and the bacteria we need in order to live.

    And apples (the fruit) are one of the most unhealthy things to drink/eat. Apples are just sugar. Nothing else. Humans can't process the skins (cellulose) of apples, so none of that "nutrients are in the skin" crap.

    Apple juice and apple pieces are the most sugary crap anyone can eat and no, Apple's don't contain vitamin C. Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) is added as a preservative to apples because they oxidize (turn brown) so damn quickly.

    The funny thing about the gun-toting is that there is little evidence of what causes diabetes (something involving the pancreas, it seems), but obesity is definitely Not the cause of diabetes. Obesity is a symptom of diabetes, not the cause.

    i work for ATT, as stated in a previous post, and the carrier does let you fuck with your device software, like ATT customers cannot use Facetime over the network unless they are are on certain data plans, which is flag created by apple, because they get a percentage of the cost of the data plans, and stand to make more money... not the US but Apple...

    And Apple rules at ATT is that if you want to upgrade before you contract is over, you pay 250 bucks plus the cost of the upgrade.

    But then I know shite about Apple...

    And this is why people hate AT&T with a passion. It's even worse when employees of AT&T actually believe this crap. "It's Apple's fault we have to charge more for FaceTime over cellular" when AT&T is the ONLY carrier in the US to do this. Sprint, T-Mobile (see Unlocked & Unlimited promo), and Verizon have all made it clear they don't charge extra for FaceTime.

    Data is data.

    iOS upgrades and Android upgrades are not comparable.

    Most android devices aren't even eligible to upgrade to the next major versions. My droid charge for example is stuck at 2.3.x.

    Lack of B12 would make the condition much worse. B12 is pretty much only found in sufficient amounts in meat. Either you need supplements of B12 or you need to eat meat. I prefer both (I LOVE meat but don't eat often enough and regularly fall into a massive deficiency).
