    I don't see IBM maintaining two operating systems long term.

    IBM purchased Informix in the early 2000's.
    IBM still sells Informix databases other than DB/2.

    I am pretty sure these people using Gmail's huge storage as their backup server.
    I don't see any other reason why their backup server was accessible to the outside world.

    And if you are thinking about they got access to the production boxes by hacking the backup server(gmail)
    - it's pretty simple. They have emailed their production server passwords to their GMail ID, just so that
    they don't forget it.

    Wow!! Who would have thunk this would be the killer feature which is going to cause mass
    migration to Linux. I have another idea - when Windows boots, the screen is in black &
    while & rather dull looking. Maybe Presto could exploit this by offering a version of
    Linux which prints boot messages in colour.

    (Most of) western society places a high value on ease of use over functionality. Apple does very well in those markets. Japanese culture is very detail oriented and places value on technical complexity and function

    Other than the cellphone thing, can you give any examples?
    Otherwise, I would it consider the above explanation to be an Apple Apologist's explanation.

    Currently if you drop your cell phone, chances are some connection comes loose.

    What cell phone do you use? I have a cheap Nokia GSM phone - it's got a black & white screen,
    no camera, no radio, no music player.
    It's 2 years old - fallen on hard ground multiple times.
    It's even fallen into a bucket of water ones.
    It's working fine. Doesn't shutdown or malfunction.

    There are some classic Monty Python bits, don't get me wrong. However, by and large, the bits you remember are it. There is a lot of mediocre fare, there.

    Very True. In my opinion, 70% of more of Monty Python stuff was very tedious.

    The real classic comes not from Monty Python, but from Python members John Cleese & Connie Booth -
    the 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers.

    Each of the 12 episodes is a classic. Each can be watched multiple times.
