I am pretty sure these people using Gmail's huge storage as their backup server. I don't see any other reason why their backup server was accessible to the outside world.
And if you are thinking about they got access to the production boxes by hacking the backup server(gmail) - it's pretty simple. They have emailed their production server passwords to their GMail ID, just so that they don't forget it.
A company called Presto hopes to exploit the painful amount of time it takes for Windows computers to start up by offering a streamlined version of Linux that boots in just a seconds.
Wow!! Who would have thunk this would be the killer feature which is going to cause mass migration to Linux. What cell phone do you use? I have a cheap Nokia GSM phone - it's got a black & white screen, no camera, no radio, no music player. It's 2 years old - fallen on hard ground multiple times. It's even fallen into a bucket of water ones. It's working fine. Doesn't shutdown or malfunction.
There are some classic Monty Python bits, don't get me wrong. However, by and large, the bits you remember are it. There is a lot of mediocre fare, there.
Very True. In my opinion, 70% of more of Monty Python stuff was very tedious.
The real classic comes not from Monty Python, but from Python members John Cleese & Connie Booth - the 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers.
Each of the 12 episodes is a classic. Each can be watched multiple times.

And people who buy rather than download will be kind of people who will need support.
Maybe Linus should just fixit instead of whining about it. It's open source, dammit.
