    wow, it was just a joke so no offence :) there are microsoft and linux news here all the time. Might not be interesting to you but some might want to know (god knows who).

    From my 5 mins scan of the website and reading a few comment suggest virtual office is some program that allows you to share files and check emails as well as managing projects. Didn't like flash intro do I didn't watch the whole thing

    because the source code is already available for community to develope, there is no need to "make" a community for it. However if the current developer flow out, it would mean there are fewer developer working on the current version and very likely, time would be spent to re-invent the wheel. diverse is good but too diverse is bad since there aren't any standard. this kind of problem would appear when this and that started to split.

    well in my university there are still over a hundred win98se machines. We got a site license for it. I won't be surprise if there are other university that still owns win98. What if they discontinue the upgrade? They might cost themselves some trouble

    they mainly make their money from supporting the software and also, you don't need to write GPL software for linux. As long as you don't use GPL code, you can always sell your program without selling your code.

    free doesn't need to be free beer, but free is usually referring to free speech (aka freedom).

    but also have to consider side effect such as the quality of paper would drop since they earn more if they accept more paper.

    Also considering the number of people pay to one particular volume of journal, add them together and split them equally to number of paper would greatly increases the lum sum

    also short term effect such as papers not submitted to that journal since others are free

    do you mean thieves and bank robbers should realized they are abusing knives and guns? There are always criminals in any country and there will always be. We don't ban something because it is abused. We try to stop the ones who abuses it. Banning it would just make it sound more like "guilty before proven innocent"

    and clever != good marks in exams
    testing doesn't make the software any better but testing do find bugs which developers missed. Quality assurance is to make sure that the software is of good enough quality before release and testing does confirm the case.

    another more "realistic" explaination

    consider your brain as buffer.
    You did something wrong and your wife starts to "educate" you for hours, with alot of "common senses"
    You then sort of half listening since your brain (buffer) can't accept that much information at one time
    In the end, you will only remember what she said for the last 30 seconds throwing everything in the past hours into the void---this is called buffer overrun

    Its time for IBM to put some of their resources to promote linux in india. Probabily they can take off 1/10 of their resource in China to divert to india since the customer base in india would probabily be higher as there are more new startups
