Makes me wonder what the PS3 will sell for on eBay. PS2 sold double its retail, so will people pay $1200 for the PS3? Bit much for a bit of entertainment.

You have a valid point, but in this case, both the Wii and the PS3 look like gourmet products. I think kids would appreciate any 3 of the systems, as long as they get a few games too. $600 doesn't leave much room for any games, but $250 certainly does.

Nobody would click the link if it said anything positive about Microsoft or one of their products. You're right, though. Here is what the article was really saying: "The lesson learned is this: in-place upgrades may be a bad idea. We can't say that it's going to cause problems for certain, because we did upgrade a Compaq X1000 for our initial RC1 tests, and that machine did make it through." "We were extremely impressed with Vista on the five-year-old Gateway." "The Pentium-4 based shuttle represents what an average PC purchased in the last two or so years should feel like, within reason. Its hard drive and I/O system are recent enough to handle the demands of Vista and generally it felt no different than XP for normal use--it certainly was not slower." Equally true summary: They can't say that in-place upgrades will cause problems for certain. They were impressed. On the 2-3 year old computer, it wasn't slower.

I thought the same thing that you did, but then I thought again - what does diagnosing do for you? Putting a label on yourself like this would actually create Asperger's syndrome for you ... if you get what I mean. It obviously wasn't a problem for you until you read this, and I think that the many people here who think the same way as you and I should not worry about it.

At my high school, I thoroughly enjoy the FIRST Robotics Competition. Basically, we're given a few weeks to build and program a huge robot to compete in various games - and then we go against local schools and eventually progress to a national level. My school last year placed second in the nationals, and it was by far one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. I also suggest a nice videogame and LAN party club - we have a lot of fun (despite what the jocks say about it) and it's a great bonding experience...plus, it's just damn fun to play games! -- GamerCentric.com

I sound like a child, but "Just because you've never seen or heard about a website does not mean they are not valid." This is exactly the problem. You've probably heard of around 10-15 gaming websites, or maybe just 2 or 3, and that's because of the industry dominance. Give other game sites a chance - you might be surprised at the quality of content and the quality of the site.

  19. Re:You want an honest review? on Halo 2 Reviews · · Score: 1

It's not about the site, we're a network of sites (this being a satelliet essentially) including videogame.net, gamingheadlines.co.uk etc. in which our reviews get syndicated...they know this, which is why they are giving it to us in the first place.

And to the other, yes, it's not a good attitude, but take it anyway and their practice is unfair.

Microsoft is just one example, ask any game site and they'll tell you the same things, they just hide it because they don't want to not get games to review. I shall still review the game the same way whenever I get it.

I'm clueless on DIMM, so here's the definition, it's good to know: "Short for dual in-line memory module, a small circuit board that holds memory chips. A single in-line memory module (SIMM) has a 32-bit path to the memory chips whereas a DIMM has 64-bit path. Because the Pentium processor requires a 64-bit path to memory, you need to install SIMMs two at a time. With DIMMs, you can install memory one DIMM at a time." -- GamerCentric.com
