I second that, with "annoying ringtones" including the completely unnecessary beep-sound when one PTTs with a Nextel DirectConnect thingy. You try riding on a bus or sitting in a class when that sound repeatedly comes up--they confused "trademark" with "hair-pullingly sickening noise" there.
Oh, and if you can choose a provider, you had better be able to buy and have YOUR OWN CELLPHONE of YOUR CHOICE with ANY OF THEM. And no price increases over 10%/year for two years after the bill passes, either. They better wait for their raise.
They're saying that the "office suite" in its current incarnation is not something they want to do. As Brin said, "I don't really think that the thing is to take a previous generation of technology and port them directly." Because of all the media speculation, I think they will start making plans (that they don't have yet) for an office suite that (regular, not Slashdot) people are not used to. (Because, as peterprior mentioned above, there is Writely.)
I expect a CmdrTaco "No OpenDocument support. Less space than an Emacs window. Lame" post soon.
"It's something we have to do, but it has to be done well," Wright said "These movies are so expensive we have to be careful..."
Rough translation:
Every time you pirate, Bob DRMs a movie.
Please, think of the movies!
But seriously, it does sound a bit more lax than the SUE50rz!!1!onetwothree method that another group likes to use. (*sigh* they still call CI "theft"...)
Given that there don't appear to be any publically available binaries yet, they're in compliance with the MPL.
Right, right. I did say "imminent", not "ongoing", infringement though--if they do release something, they have to cough out those source changes, or else face total physical destruction^W^W^Wridicule on Slashdot, lawsuits by Mozilla, etc., right?
It does feel like an attempt to cull e-mail addresses from a (gasp!) flock of less-educated users. For obvious reasons, they won't see my e-mail anytime soon.
I tried to install this newfangled Flock on Linux, but...
[root@localhost] # make install make: *waves index finger* i KNOW you didn't try to overwrite the REAL flock with that browser and shit. See >man flock< and burn in hell. *throws root's clothes out window* Stop. [root@localhost] #
My Linux seems a bit protective of its territory nowadays...
I smell imminent, blatant MPL infringement--unless, they are writing their own code to interpret the xpis (and perhaps ActiveX too, if they want some bizarre sort of extra credit or something).
If they do use Mozilla code, certainly they should have the source code available, as per the MPL, Section 3.6, no? Unless Flock has balls of Fire-proof steel and considers such a license naïve and unconstitutional like SCO or something...
All those ROM sites must be motivating Nintendo to get some marginal profit from it. You know, like ed***THIS POST HAS BEEN CENSORED BY THE DMCA POLICE ***

They can raise the software and heating oil prices.
If they touch my Sunny Leone vids, it's gonna be war.
You meant OpenOffice.org, but I digress...
"I'm gonna make an offer you can't refuse!!! Woo! I LOOOVE THIIIS COOMPANYYYEEE!!1!oneplusetotheipi "
I somehow doubt it's a non-API advantage. It's like they're trying to get sued by the government again.
<offtopic>DAMN this slashdot thing is rendering awful. Probably not for non-IE users though.</offtopic>

This Hitler ressurection stuff sounds scary...yet familiar.
Notice the emerging pattern (1->2, 1->3, 3X2, 1->2, 2->3); next will be 3X1, or Flu kills God. Like, duh. ;)

It'll be tough not to put a Slashdot EeziPost® version of the parent here. Damn Slashvertisements, I hate them and stuff.

Are Pay By Touch's machines among them? (TFA doesn't say...)
Thanks for giving me your fingerprint.
Well, you had to, to give us your 2 cents...
I'd be OK with the whole idea if it would never be made mandatory for payments...
Add me to the Mod Parent Up® petition. Thoughtful of both of you (parent and GP).
More and more it feels like a shortcut for corporations to find targets for what I call PPA1.
