    Oh, just stop with the "dead tree" and "5 lbs" garbage. Not everybody is a fussy little primadonna that is afraid to carry around a few pounds of real books. There's nothing wrong with using actual textbooks for teaching children. The last thing kids in modern society need are *more* gadgets.

    The worst part is that I've had our infrastructure people tell us the cost of deploying Linux is too high, for several of those same negative reasons above. Well, we would have had to do it exactly ONE time, and then we'd have been done.

    Oh, that's cute. Where do I get a copy of a Linux that came out in 2001 and is still supported by the manufacturer?

    Not to be intentionally mean, but I'm thinking that this guy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. The title of the page linked to in the article, and the text he repeats several times on said page is: "Be Warned: You Are At The Mercy Of Facebook".

    What kind of non-mentally challenged adult doesn't understand this already? This guy built a building on somebody else's property, and was shocked when the owners of said property took it down.

    Like what? Personally, I think the form-factor of a tablet is next to useless, and I'll stick with laptops and desktops, but I'm curious: where can one find these gadgets?

    The point is that tablets can come out with full Windows 8, which would be a game changer. You'd have full PC functionality in a laptop. Buh-Bye both Android and Apple.

    No, the Internet used to be ad-free. People used to use the Internet to learn things, and to share information with other people. Until the unwashed massed got to it in the mid 90's, the Internet was wonderful: Email, Gopher, WWW, FTP, etc.

    In fact, those bits of the Internet are still there, but they've been overwhelmed and vastly out-numbered by people more interested in money than being an intelligent, compassionate human being.

    The adoption rate of Windows Phone is actually growing at a faster rate than Android (and certainly Apple), right now. It'll be on par with Android and iOS in another year in most parts of the world.

    This AC is lying. You certainly can easily forward SMS messages with Windows Phone.

    You're smoking crack. Windows Phone isn't "bloated" at all. It's quite zippy, in fact. It's easiest the most attractive OS out there, no question. Those other ones are horrible to look at and use, by comparison. And, unless you're a 12 year old Japanese girl, there are plenty of apps. You have no idea what you're talking about, but thanks for your mis-informed opinion!

    Hey, another anti-MS shill! I and several people in my family use Windows 8 phones, and we love them. This post was done on a Windows Phone, in fact (HTC 8X). My next phone will probably be a Windows Phone, too.

    Wow. Sucks for them if that's true. I have to imagine that eventually ebay will be the only place that uses PayPal and both will shrivel up and die. I know I would just not buy something from eBay, rather than use PayPal.
