As I mentioned in another post: 90% of my time I spent with thinking.
If I could speed up my typing by 100% it would be a 5% net gain.

    Close to pointless.

And as I pointed out also in another post: using h j k l is counterintuitive. I can not memorize those keys.

And obviously moving my hand from j k to the arrows happens so rarely that the above 5% gain most likely would only be a 5 per mil gain ...

But be free to think otherwise ... I have again to think about what I actually want to write ... :D

It is correct that it is a zero sum game ... but if we had only half as many cows, the baseline would only half as high.

In the long run it makes no difference how many cows we have, however the whole meat industry produces CO2 by burning fossile fuels. On top of that we have agriculture that we only do to feed cattle ...

So it is worth to look at that point, even if the impact is exaggerated.

Why should my phone "track" less satellites than a commercial specialized GPS? Hu?

You only need 3 satellites anyway to get a precise enough position.

Which laws are you talking about? There is no law that a phone needs to be less precise than any other GPS receiver you can buy in a shop.

Wrong. It's not about growing food "in hunger zones", it's about growing as much food as we can, wherever we can, and as efficiently as we can. It's about continuing to feed a population which has exceeded 7 billion and is projected to top out at over 10 billion, without needing to cut down more rainforests in order to do it.

And GMOs do nothing about that.

No idea why you think it would. BTW: 40% - 50% of all food is thrown away. There is no need for more food.

You started the "ad hominems" ... and pointing out that you have no clue about the topic, btw. is not an "ad hominem" :D

Likewise, an appeal to popularity is also a logical fallacy.
I did not appeal, I stated a fact. What you think why GMOs are more or less completely forbidden in the EU?
So: it is not a logical fallacy again :D

You are bad in logic fallacies ...
And you don't know anything about agriculture or GMOs ... so, accuse me about an ad hominem, because I state a fact?
