Wireless cards.
Yeah, in theory they all work, but they usually require a buttload of work to get working, especially those who use the ndiswrapper instead of prism54 which many distros install the moment they realise there's a wireless network card in the computer.
It's seriously lacking in that area unfortunately. Yeah right, on the Broadcom wifi on my Presario 2210 it was just ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5a.inf followed by modprobe ndiswrapper. Easy. Would be trivial to make a GUI to configure it probably.
I'm not sure if that's true.. lspci under a linux livecd on both my PowerBook G4 12" (bought a few weeks ago) and my Revision A G5 both say I have Sun GEM ethernet. Yes, the same kind that Sun boxes use.
I'm actually a sophomore in high school next year taking some NCSU classes for both high school and college credit... not like I have much choice to go anywhere else. And of course Meridith would have lots of women... wasn't that college women only until a few years ago or soomething?
This might be cool for me since I start some classes at NCSU next year, possibly some linux related ones. Might be interesting to see if the curriculum is redhat oriented or something.

WDC65816 or whatever it was was the IIgs processor, which was a 16 bit/extended 6502 made by WD (yes the hard drive maker).
Yeah, there's a lot of embedded PowerPC chips too... I remember a few years back seeing PowerPC based digital cameras as well. And yes, what my sig says is true. And yes, she's pretty hot, and no you don't get to see a pic. Besides she's not even 15 anyway.
I decided to have a little bit of fun using myiprelay on aim calling them up (I know I forgot the toll free number and used the 808 one, sorry):

Heh reminds me of the fact one of my best friends is the youngest daughter of the former head of the PowerPC operations of IBM until... 2002? something like that. Works for Qualcomm now.
All the poor people in MSP would be dead anyway. The cold does it. (Having lived a year in Minneapolis I can definitely say you couldn't survive the winter there homeless)
Its nothing like Sun's.... its really odd.. on my Indy it can refer to disks in two notations, one's very NT style, its something like scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(1)partition(0) for my XFS root partition, whereas the SGI style notation as I call it is just dksc(0,1,0). Apparently they used to use the SGI notation exclusively until the Indigo2/Indy. Thank god my Indy accepts both. The firmware is called ARCS, which may be similar to the ARC firmware for NT. But I dunno...
I still can't figure out why the Irix bootloader is called SASH, which means the standalone shell... it would make you think it lets you do unix like things without Irix booted, but nooooo it uses the same syntax and commands even as the PROM monitor uses, except sash can read XFS volumes unlike the boot PROM and list the contents of directories.
It has this to say about my state:
"N.C. Gen. Stat. 15A-287: It is a Class H felony to intercept or disclose the contents of a wire, oral or electronic communication without the consent of at least one party to the communication, The statute defines wire communications to exclude the radio portion of a cordless telephone call that is transmitted between a cordless telephone handset and base unit. N.C. Gen. Stat. 15A-287."
Interesting. So that basically means I can just go around and tape the conversations of anyone I talk to on the phone?
What I think should be done is patents should be modified to include a "Fair Use" like clause. Under this idea, F/OSS software, as long as its for "personal use" can use patented technology without having to pay licensing fees, but if its sold or used commercially, or if said program is a commercial application, then said program (or the user of it) requires a license. Now excuse me while I go patent this concept....

It's been in mac os x since panther as well.

Qualcomm's chipsets use ARM processors from what I've heard, and that's what my girlfriend's dad told me (he works for Qualcomm),
Haha once I got one to talk about how they hate their job... but nowhere as nice as that story haha.
...and I just realized I hit the wrong reply link. Ooooops....

...except SCO bought all the unix rights from Novell long ago
Nope, Indy's IRIX only. IIRC SGI never used OpenPROM.
Correct, it indeed is slick, but I wish it was a little more like unix... just for the coolness factor. Its very useful though.

Or you could maybe dd /dev/random to the drive.

True, but only if you sold it, not gave it away.

So? You could just attach something to where the controller connects and use that to blank out the password.
You could desolder the flash and do that, or create something that clips onto the flash chip while still on the controller and flash that way.
