States fear the new rules may force applicants to make more than one trip to motor vehicle departments, once to provide documents such as birth certificates that states must verify and a second time to pick up the license, state officials said.
So you have a three-day cooling-off period before you get a license to drive to a gun shop and have another three-day cooling-off period to buy the gun...
There hasn't been thousands of years of human activity in the past 20 years.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't live responsibly and clean up the air. Just stop all the FUD crap about global warming or cooling. You can't tell me with certainty what's going to happen in the next 100 or 1000 years when you can't even tell me what's happening next week.
AFTER ALL, 20 years ago we weren't afraid of global warming. Nope, it was the coming ice age. I remember that clearly. Didn't believe that one, either.
SO WHAT, if no WMD's were found? If I walk into a bank with my hand in my pocket & wave it around like it's a gun, do you think police & security will apologize when they find no gun? No - it will be my fault for ACTING like I had the weapon. Saddam deserved what he got, and the Iraqui people are better off for it when you disregard the liberal media hype. Just ask anyone who's been there.
What's even more funny is the story in the news today that says that cleaner air means more sunshine which means more global warming. I'll think about beleiving global warming hype when I can get an accurate weather forecast for NEXT WEEK, or even TWO DAYS FROM NOW.
We'll also remind ourselves here that UNIX was built around TCP/IP 25 years ago whereas MS refused to believe TCP/IP existed until 15 years ago after Windows 3.11 came out and they had to write a limited stack to install into Windows.
I keep an excel spreadsheet on my desktop on my work computer, named "Passwords". The actual password cell is white/white in color so the casual passer-by can't see it. I click on the password I've forgotten & read it from the formula bar. Sorry, my memory just ain't what it used to be.
I'm new to SuSE Linux but have worked with various OS's over 20 years... is a SuSE Linux upgrade like (yikes!) Windows - i.e. is it better to wipe the system (I'm at 9.0) and do a fresh install, or does it work well to simply upgrade?
I'm getting ready to move (finally) to XP at work from Win2K, and I simply won't allow an in-place upgrade of Windows - I very specifically stated that they must format the system & do a fresh install. (BTW, my Windows system at work is merely an e-mail tool and a VNC portal to a Red Hat system, where I do my real work.)
I found that a.444 magnum slug does the trick. Some older drives acutally stop the thing. I did this once & called the company help desk, saying that my drive was shot. That went over pretty good. Then I put it on display in the server room as an example. You know, shoot one, scare the rest...
What I have yet to try, though, is to hook one up to a power supply & shoot it while (the drive is) spinning. I think that would be interesting.
Actually I think M$oft has done much better with hardware than with software - I very much prefer their ergonomic keyboards and mice over any others I have used.
If Sir Gates were to spin off a tools business, would he call it Microhard? Or would that suggest too much about the size of his tools?
That would seem to explain millions and millions of dead things everywhere and fossilized skeletons that would resemble 600-900 year old humans. Plus dead plant life. Also explains a recent article I saw on MyWay News that spoke of a mammal (cat) with a dinosaur in its gut, meaning that mammals and dinosaurs just may have been contemporary....

I don't believe in ROUS's. They don't exist.

No, I purchased the product and dual-boot to Linux. Is the license for IE6 good for the computer only when I am actually running Windoze?
Interesting argument. I'm all for Bush, but Bush being from Texas should know that the best way to keep the peace is to arm everyone...
I thought Apple was originally restricted to a one-button mouse because M'$oft held the patent on the 2-button mouse. Urban legend?
