Man up and get a Toshiba THRiVE. I have one and don't regret it one bit. After seeing mine, a co-worker got one and paired it with a 128GB SD-card. He has literally dozens of movies and hundreds of MP3's on the SD-card.
The last time I used Firefox, I could open and close it over and over and see my memory usage increase with each opening. Firefox leaks memory like a sieve and is extremely unstable.
Remember, only a lucky, privileged few are allowed to purchase an iPhone. I heard a lottery system is used where Steve Jobs himself chooses the next lucky iPhone owner. The rest of us lost souls choose to buy a ghetto phone, like my Nexus S.
I too have Ooma but their new Telo device is prone to failure. I'm working on my third box in the seven months I'm been with them. The first device was DOA, the second one died this past Sunday and I'm still haggling with customer support to get a replacement. I was lured in with the very, very low monthly cost but if I have to waste time and effort getting a replacement box it just isn't worth it.
I was on Vonage for six years prior to switching to Ooma and never had any equipment failure. I may just port my number to Google Voice and go back to Vonage.
I have two 24" monitors and use VirtuaWin and AutoHotkey to maximize my screen real estate.
Using AutoHotkey, I send VirtuaWin a message to toggle between the last two virtual windows when I press the forward mouse button (I also map Alt-~ and a double-tap of the Windows key to do the same).
AC,
I too want to personally thank you for your efforts and the efforts of the entire CentOS team. I run CentOS at home on my personal server for various tasks.
The newest version of./ is (in my experience) at least an order of magnitude faster than the old version, at least as my logged-in settings cause the page to render.
I completely agree that the new version of/. is noticeably faster than the previous incarnation.
I find that TomatoUSB has the most polish of the mentioned firmwares. TomatoUSB is extremely stable, the QoS just works (tm) and IPv6 support is currently being integrated. I moved to it from dd-wrt over a year and a half ago and haven't looked back.
I agree with your sentiment about smartphones in general. At times I enjoy the features of a more advanced phone, but do we really need more that the trusty Nokia 1100? It seems to me that the BlackBerry is the middle ground.
That is too true. HP printers, inkjets anyway, are awful and their drivers are worse. My current printers are a Canon MX860 and a Brother HL-2170w and they're great!

Really?
I know that the latest Firefox versions (5, 6, 7b) are known for being RAM-hungry and crashing a lot...
Really?
The current and previous generation Roku supports Amazon Video streaming...
Amen brother. Amen.
Not an issue for me, I use Directory Opus.

My Nexus S received the auto-update this morning!
I concur. My Nexus S rocks! I can go 2+ days w/o charging and couldn't be happier.
Oracle, what about Java? Set it free!

Read only I think, and only to read data off of stickers and such not as a payment system.
Nexus S and Nexus One get Android Gingerbread 2.3.3, fixes random reboots and writes NFC tags

You're joking, right? I wish I had some mod points to score your comment funny.
