    IANAS but it would seem to me that the presence of enough spores in the water samples to grow a culture from in not truly indicative of the red color being primarily or even partially from the spores. Given the concentration of spores needed to color water red, the probability of rain containing that concentration is very, very low.

    *headdesk* None of the wars you mentioned were stopped/lost because the US ran out of ability to make war. They were ended solely because of the political winds back home. In the nuclear attack scenario, the political will would last more than long enough to pound the offending country into dust.

    Well, given that they orchestrated entire groups of "voters" which were just sock puppets to paper over their election results, I'm pretty fucking suspicious of the "protests" in favor of the government.

    It's a troll post because the drug statistic only holds up if you ignore state prison populations. It is true that in federal penitentiaries that over 50% are there solely on drug related charges. It is not true for state penitentiaries however.

    Yes, and? There has also been a general decrease in crime across the entire frigging US during that same time period and moreover Arizona and New Mexico have been doing a good job of liberalizing their gun laws.

    I bought the starcraft battle chest, and then a couple years later lost the disk. Rather than pay money again, I downloaded it. Every now and then I download it again when I uninstall, reformat, etc... Thusly, number of times downloaded, especially as the game becomes older, does not indicate the actual piracy rate.

    It didn't fail any tests at all, it was merely not deployed. I can think of multiple reasons not to deploy this. The biggest being that it is really only useful as crowd control during riots, and even then could be relatively easily taken out. There's also the fact that leaving enemies angry enough to shoot at you alive would seem to be a bad idea. Since the US military, the only people using the tech, would not have enough manpower to roundup all the people they used this against, all it would do is cause greater US casualties in the long run.

    The HL mod Firearms had this feature. You kept all your magazines, and had a button to consolidate ammo, which took time and you were left defenseless. Pretty fun mod.

    Did you read the post in question? A point 20 gauge shotgun, the same number used by you and mcgrew, would fire a five pound ball of lead. Now, a 20 gauge shotgun would indeed shoot a smaller abount of shot. That was not the number used however until your second post on the matter.
