    The biggest exploitation here is people not bothering to research dodgy information they've been fed and acting on bad pretenses.

At least with businesses there's the excuse of relative obscurity. This is something out there in the OPEN and people still willfully ignore it, mainly because thinking logically about what the .gov does and why would be too fucking hard.

    In the second case, the person could not have gotten any feedback other than the girl's posts on the net. The woman on the other hand, was able to gauge things just right through her daughter's interactions with the suicidal one.

    No, primarily because it IS snail mail. It is unlikely that the girl would have reacted in the same way to a series of missives drawn out over weeks at a time.

    FACT: You have, or posited to have, a gas powered car. FACT: You could have bought a diesel, but didn't consider the benefit of gas mileage to outweigh the cost. My post responded directly to these facts, albeit in a quite nasty tone. Nasty tone however, does not an Ad Hominem attack make.

    Except of course that he kept working through most of those vacations since to be perfectly honest the amount of stuff that the president needs to be at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave to do is rather small. As long as he's got the football with him, almost everything else can be done elsewhere.

    Except their fire is perfectly on target. As long as Hamas/Fatah/Hezbollah use civilian areas for their operations, there are effectively from a war crimes standpoint on return fire no civilians.

    Given that the tax breaks and protections tend to carry with them the assumption of children sometime in the relationship, there's a rather good argument for keeping it Male/Female only. Really a better solution would be to remove marriage from the equation entirely and just award the breaks and protections to those that have/adopt children, but that would be entirely too sensible and so will never happen.

    Yes, which is why although gun ownership has pretty much skyrocketed in terms of number of guns in the past 16 years, the violence rates have gone down one hell of a lot.

    AC ignoring the fact that polar bears aren't going extinct at all, nor the fact that scientists don't know whether changes to their will end up killing them or not(existence in non-climate controlled zoos tends to suggest otherwise but is no guarantee) as well as ignoring that the ban on DDT as a mosquito repellent(not the ban on using it to protect crops) has killed the most children in poor countries each year - Fucking hilarious.
