  1. Great Strategy on Opera Lays Down Acid2 Challenge · · Score: 4, Insightful

This is brilliant!! Appear to be helpful, but really just point out shortcomings and bugs in your competitor's product, all the while gaining visibility and recognition in the community. I really must remember to do this sometime.

Oh no! Women are smarter than men. Do they know something we don't? Do the women discuss I.T. doom in their secret meetings? Our best hope to become informed is that somewhere a man will happen upon a memo with "read once and destroy" stamped on it.

  5. Predictions of Doom on Microsoft Loses Key Engineer to Google · · Score: 3, Insightful

I can't wait to hear all the predictions of how this is the end of Microsoft. Relax folks, a key M$ guy just got a better offer, that's all. If Google does build an operating system, they will have to face the same problem that has held up everyone else: critical mass.

I had just managed to get that creepy bear out of my head, and you had to go and remind me. As payback, I smite you with this:

    Hey Mickey!

  13. Re:Always have another paycheck lined up... on When Should You Quit Your Job? · · Score: 2, Interesting

That sounds smart in theory, but it is actually very hard to find a job when you have one. A job search is time consuming, and you won't be able to go for interviews if you're at work. Also, many employers don't give you the time of day if it seems you are just fishing for a better job.
