Having a lot of certifications will get you passed over during the interview process. I live in Maine which is not a giant tech state. People see those on your resume and assume they cannot afford you. Also I've never got a job that didn't come about by knowing someone on the inside. My first job I got after being a temp for two months. They liked me and hired me. The second job, an old teacher of mine (UNIX/Solaris) is one of the head UNIX Admins and I'm sure that didn't hurt me at all.
as a consumer is a product that will track my location via GPS, and not only tell me where I am on a map, and where I need to go.... is show me where the damn bathrooms are!:)
Does this mean putting a nice new shiny steering wheel in my car with superior stereo controls will make it less of a POS?

I thought this was odd too. But then again people think I'm strange for not allowing product Linux machines to update automatically with package managers over an unsecured network or via an outside source.
Several months ago during my frustration with outsourcing in my life, I made the joke I was going to buy an old cruise ship and staff it with everyone but Americans, and eventually add other ships, turning it into a floating cluster of outsource employee islands where they would all spend there cash at MY stores. Muhahaha.
This will making coming up with new things to search for while I'm dying at work at 3am much easier as well!
While this is a bit dangerous..

I think a similar system setup to allow internet users to aim and fire golf balls at someone driving the VW bug picking up the balls on a driving range would be sweet sweet entertainment.

Hahaha! This comment made my day. Now back to hitting F9 for the next six hours...
I can't believe this is news worthy. Who cares about online journal company buyouts...haha..
