    Yup... I'm the oldest on my team and the young pups can spit out more code, but when the rubber hits the road it's the old farts like me that deliver quality, stability and scalability. (Sort of a symbiotic relationship, they spit out tons of schlock then we fix it.)

    SUSE is the champion.

    Mod up parent. If I wanted people to try KDE I would recommend SUSE for the out of the box experience. (But I'm a Ubuntu/gnome guy... short, friendly and mostly brownish)

    (I love linux but pulseaudio in an Ubuntu 9.10 upgrade made me want to pull my hair out... clean install of 10.04 fixed it but then I retired the machine and replaced it with a macbook pro to play with the iOS SDK)

    Face it, Monsanto is the BP of their particular sector of the economy. Both need to be taken down a few notches, if not outright disbanded and their assets sold off.

    Problem is that NOT ONE captive in Gitmo was treated as a POW. IMHO the US is in violation of the Geneva convention and many members of the administration should be up on human rights charges in the Hague, starting with Cheney and Bush and I'm beginning to thing we should include Obama if he doesn't correct this.

    Remember what they did to Pinochet? Watch out Mr. Bush, one day it will be your turn.

    Modular computers. Easier upgrade paths.

    This hadn't occurred to me, but now that you mention it I'm reminded of a friends failure to install SIMMs correctly on an old 486 era desktop. He actually managed to damage the motherboard since he didn't notice the retaining clips and just mashed them in.

    A plug & play architecture that is so modular and simple that even the noobiest of noobs can upgrade might have some legs. Right now upgrading is such a bitch that I don't even bother anymore, I just get kick-ass machines and replace them bi-anually and ask relatives if they want my cast-offs.

    I'm not blaming the wife for anything. I'm just surprised she never noticed the signs or smell the infection. Something that bad had to have smelled, right?

    He also passed out drunk, I'm sure that EVERYTHING smelled.

    A lot of people voted for Obama because they thought he would hold true to his word and try to restore a lot of what we had lost, shut down Gbay, etc

    With respect, what did "we" (the people, presumably) lose with Gitmo?

    I would hope that the descendants of the founding fathers would have lost their self respect. But then this is the same nation that revels in "reality TV", MacDonalds and "Intelligent Design" so that might be asking a lot.

    There are some shitty nurses out there.

    There are shitty husbands out there too. Honestly my wife never knows about my minor medical issues, if she did I'd never hear the end of it. Now I say shitty husbands because deception is a terrible way to deal with problems and I'd probably be better off if nothing was hidden.

    Whats more this guy has diabetes, anyone with diabetes knows to take special care with any kind of wound or infection. He didn't take care of himself, how is that his wife's fault?

    Higher temperatures increase the total amount of arable land on the planet and the amount of total precipitation.

    Except of course for the marginal land that undergoes desertification or the low lying coastal areas that are flooded.
