Most "reputable" pr0n sites will have a "Only click here to enter if you are over 18" splash page. Of course, it doesn't stop little kids... but it *does* make the kids aware that they're about to do something "wrong".
I think you're missing the point about teaching kids wrong vs. right. Most parents would like to prevent kids from accessing those sites -- not give them a choice.

I use IEView whenever I hit a page that absolutely requires IE, like my company's web site. I'm not going back to IE permanently. No way.

I'll bet it's because you're still paying for Windows even though you're not getting it with your system. In order for Dell to get Microsoft Windows cheaply on every other system, they've probably licensed it for yours as well.

Sounds like the old security through obscurity argument all over again. Hackers are currently getting in to closed-source systems.
Apart from that, the ATM in question would be running its own custom software under OS/2 -- which would not be part of the code IBM is being asked to release.

  8. Greasemonkey is cool on Firefox Greasemonkey Extension Security Problem · · Score: 1

I've been using Greasemonkey to download mpeg files and other media files that won't run in Firefox by default. And I've been looking into creating Greasemonkey scripts to fix problems with various sites that cause Firefox fits. Many sites are only tested with IE -- and I've had all kinds of terrible things happen to my PC when I was running IE. (Some earlier comments alluded to BHOs, etc. -- that kind of thing). All of those comments casually suggesting people drop or disable Greasemonkey are less than helpful.
