(changing to CF that is, not changing from warm to daylight). Over a 6 month period I change all the bulbs in our house to CF (about 60 bulbs) and my wife never noticed.

    From the article:

    SlySoft have a product called AnyDVD which works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive. The other day they released an updated version of AnyDVD which effortlessly bypasses Protect DVD-Video.

    They date these things by pulling out their big evolution timeline chart and finding where it's supposed to go according to the dictates of the religion of Darwin. Then they make up tests and pick the one that gives the numbers they like best. Anyone producing results that don't fit will lose funding.

    I would posit that if one were to remove all speed limit signs, except for those around inherently dangerous sections of roadway (i.e. an upcoming sharp turn that requires a lower rate of speed), most people would drive slightly faster (maybe 70-80mph) than they do presently, but would still drive in a safe manner. I doubt that many would suddenly start going 140mph just because there's no signs.
    You are exactly right and I have observed this effect in both directions. A two lane highway that I take every day has a posted limit of 55mph, but it is rare that traffic moves faster than 45. Traffic is fairly light on that road, but the road is not in very good condition and just doesn't feel safe at the posted limit.
