    I hope this will be cleared soon, because it is an obvious flaw in the ADSM-server, not a problem with linux.

    Grab the latest batch of PTF's for your ADSM server. I believe the fix is in....

    Sure, it will freeze, but is that actually a problem?
    • Expansion/contraction when changing states would probably crush/desocket most of the motherboard in the first few cycles
    • I would also guess that the specific heat of ice is much lower than liquid water
    • Circulation to prevent hot spots becomes a problem (imagine the CPU melts a quarter inch of ice from the block that it's in, then the water leaks away, how do you get more water/ice against the chip? Even if you do, see #1 again... :) )

    That's what I could think of off the top of my head anyways... ;)

    I've got all these 4 and 8 gig RAM machines around here at work that don't even notice...
    Yeah, if you've only got 16 or 32 megs, you'll probably throw your machine into perpetual swap and your performance will degrade badly.

    Yeah, I've got lots of big machines around too... But I think that this might be part of the reason we *need* the big machines... :) 14meg? Heck, netscape on this box dosen't have that much resident at the moment. There is some serious bloat in that client.
