so, i hire someone who appears to be a smart, good person who then does something wrong or illegal and i get sued for it. protecting myself from that is morally bankrupt? please explain.
A corporation is a legal construct with the rights of a person and none of the morality, a construct whose sole purpose is to make money.
eh? my wife has a corporation and i have a corporation so we can safely run our home businesses. the idea behind it, the sole reason in my eyes, is that should i get sued for some reason i dont lose my car, house, watch, cat, dog, retirement savings, etc. and people will sue for anything. ever heard of the 'shotgun approach'? if it wasnt for people suing for the smallest things we might not need such a construct.
the problem is morally bankrupt people. capitalism, socialism, communism all fail becuase of bad people.

i dare you to do a search on weapons of mass destruction. many, many people have come foward with information about them beig moved to bordering countries. the guy had what, a year, to move the stuff around? never mind what other governments and past american administrations and the un have said... if they arent there, it isnt solely bushs fault.
and i am not an apologists for that bumbling idiot, i am just want to know the truth and i do think in the long run this is better for the iraqi people. should have done it in '91
i cant get wi-fi either. hp notebook. plus my keyboard stopped working during install, then started working again. now, i have to boot at least twice for it to work. also ubuntu 'cant access my system clock' yet if i correct the time on the desktop the time is wrong when i boot xp...windows has always 'just worked' for me. even from fresh installs of retail disks. i dont have time to wrap a driver.
FTFA:Microsoft pointed out that the current version of Windows, XP, is available in six different versions though most of these are tuned for the different types of hardware, such as a Tablet PC, people are using.
apparantly these six are all aimed at the same hardware.
i have never heard the free podcasts of their shows but if i had to sit through two seconds of commercials i wouldnt pay for it. actually why i dont subscribe the xm, there would be short adverts every now and again. content all the time for me if i have to pay.
hmmm, i have an amd64 based notebook and i was able to exchange my licence just fine. just typed in the info and away i went. it only took a couple months to get it though......the only problem is that hp doesnt support xp 64bit. however; everything i need works.
does kubuntu 64bit support broadcom wireless? how is it working in general? i gave ubuntu 64bit a whack and had a plethora of problems. the biggest of which being no wireless. with all of the stuff i am hearing about vista, i am seriously considering open source. but i dont want to hassle with an os and my wife needs it to be as seemless as possible.
i have been playing tabletop rpg's for years. the (real life) politics/interests of my current group are all over the board - we get along - how boring is a world where everyone agrees. bu then i am not one for clubs... and i dont need to agree with everything my friends do to be good friends.
most of the time our characters get along, other times they dont. it is a fantasy game. part of the fun, at least for me and my friends, is to explore what it could be like to be a pacifist or warmonger, someone with rigid utilitarian or relativist ethics, etc... for me & my friends it as much about exploring ideas as it is about getting the hackmaster +10.
we prefered cops and drug runners. complete with little baggies full of sugar or flour. when we got older we went to a wooded area and used paintball guns......fun

try giving this to someone who isnt a nerd and see how they feel about the obscure referencess/jokes.

democratic societies always fail. people eventually realize they can vote other peoples rescources to themselves...
you guess correctly.

a. there is nothing positive
b. there are many positive things but 'schools and hosptitals rebuilt' doesnt sell papers in the way that '50 dead due to u.s. incompentence' does.
