And people wonder why the US Government is so worried about Intellectual Property and Copyrights. Why do anything at all if someone is just going to steal it? Of course Bungie/MS will be fine with people nibbling off their plates but most companies, especially small business, cannot afford to allow people to nibble. Yet people nibble whether it's MS/Bungie or Activision.

Slashdot must have plastic ceilings because the glass would just be too expensive to replace.
In regards to the Virgin Galatic thread a couple days ago -- To all those who said they'd bet on Japan because they had the "fastest" computer -- looks like many should foot = mouth.
Bah -- this has nothing to do with anything. Globalistic(global nationalism? facism?) mindset of everyone v. America is starting to get frighteningly trite.

It's not a question of what's "easier" or what's "superior" but the fact it's actually occuring. If this were because of how easy it was then there are any number of people that would have rocket ships in their backyards.
The greatest thing we are not factoring into the equation isn't the sciences but the risk taking and entrepreneurial spirit that goes into an endeavor as we see here. Rutan and Branson are showing what it is to be a pioneer not cultural superiority or mathmatical acheivements -- however, both are a factor.
Either way, it's capitalism all the way.

Betting on cultures? You indeed are mad. Certainly you don't speak poorly of the culture that used "slow" super computers, "poorly" educated engineers and drove their "unreliable" cars work and were the ones to actually create the means to make this possible.
No, I know you wouldn't. Since I believe this is a misconception on your part I present the following link http://www.jdpower.com/news/releases/pressrelease. asp?ID=2004037
for your review. That pesky *censored* culture full of fat people seem to pull off remarkable things. Ohhh... bother.

Steps to create more security is always welcomed. Especially when it comes to log ins. It also creates a "perception" that AOL is secure, family oriented and trustworthy.
I've been in the industry for several years -- these securID fobs have been around for a long long time and have been proven to be very effective. Haven't others on here had exposure to these? I can't believe that those who actually have used the system would complain. Then again, seeing all these complaints it leads me to believe "slashdotters" are less technical savvy than one would initially think.

I'm sure both versions will be fine. Both good for their own merits. I'm not sure why one has to be 'better than the other' in order to have a conversation about them.
This is my first post on slashdot.org after much hand wringing about not allowing myself to reply to the inane commentary often encountered here. I choose this topic not because it's more worthy than any others but because it's really a reflection of how little thought is given to replies.
Spielburg has product dozens of brilliant films and several really poor creations. However, on the whole he's done a great job and doesn't overproduce. He isn't Lucas.
Also the topic, Movie Made Overseas beats Spielburg. The world is "overseas" including the US. Many, most, modern films aren't even filmed on location in the US so this commentary has little to no bearing on the topic at hand. In fact, it's just a cynical bend to attack Spielburg. Which I do not understand.
