Of course it doesn't directly as the OS has just encountered a fatal error. To allow such a thing would be irresponsibly dangereous to your data.
But the crash is also written to disk as mini or full dumps which you can open later to good if you wish or if your a little more knowledgable to load into windbg and analylse what went wrong. A BSOD is just the windows version of a Kernel Panic.
The BSOD is in fact a feature, sorry I know what your getting at but the BSOD is in fact the Kernels Diagnostics dumping ability providing information about an error that has occured, anything from hardware failure to drivers or OS bug.
ie. the most optimistic projections are saying about 3-4 million ipads, now if one assumes that they are going to take that directly from netbooks (something I seriously doubt) then the future projected size of the market is very relevant. If the market is expected to be 46 million than it can be assumed the ipad even if it reached the optimistic end of predictions will have only a small impact on the netbook market
however what is more likely is that the ipads are stealing sales from ebook readers and there is also a large group of apple fanatics that would buy steve jobs farts if he bottled it. Thus significantly shrinking the possible effect on netbook sales.
So what he is saying is, if the market is supposed to be ~50million for these small computer devices, how the fuck does a million or so units of that market taken by apple equal the the end of netbooks.
From a sales point of view he is looking at the attach rate where the volume of games shipped compared to consoles is bad, But the simple fact is they are still shipping more games than sony or microsoft every week. The wii by volume has 6 of the top 10 selling games this week and this is pretty normal week after week. They make money on the consoles, they make some (but less) money on the games.
I keep seeing people bring up this long term BS, the game console industry is a generation by generation market. Being successful one generation does not give any guarentees of success in the next generation, SEGA,Atari, Nintendo, Sony have all proven this generation after generation. I don't own a Wii ( I have a 360), but it seems nintendo by far have the better business model, in the end they are a business and they are in it to make money and they are doing that by the shovel fulls. Next generation it all resets again.
He's is the so called analyst with perhaps the worst track record in predicting what is happening in the gaming industry.
Eg here is his prediction at the start of this generation of gaming consoles.
"In 2010, Sony’s going to have 55%, Microsoft’s going to have 35% and Nintendo 10%, with all three of those having plus or minus 5%."
Calling Michael Pachter an analyst is akin to calling your local butcher a surgeon. This so called analyst has a long history of ridiculous claims.
FYI, Current Weekly sales of the Wii are almost equal to the combined totals of the ps3 and xbox 360 and they still make money on the hardware. While sure their sales are declining somewhat it probably has more to do with market saturation than anything else. I am sure another version is coming some day but at this point I would think the still rather good sales would be seriously undermined if they released information on a replacement version.
of course they can be seperate, what is it about free speech that requires anonymity. being known in no way impacts your ability to conduct free speech.
This has nothing to do with free speech though so why are you blacklisting Brazil? free speech is a right in Bazil, anonymity while doing so is not though. Australia also provides free speech, but the government wants to censor the shit out of the internet so they probably still deserve the blacklist. People need to learn to seperate free speech from the consequences of the content, just because you have the right to express yourself doesn't automatically invalidate laws that protect people from slander, hate speech and other such laws.
If you insult someone willingly you're a dick and that's it, no need for laws, no need for convictions and most of all no need for a jihad or any physical harm.
It is not always that simple, insulting or lieing about someone in a public forum can have series consequences for the receiving party. People are not dumbasses for not wanting to have their reputation tainted, more than a few people and businesses have been ruined simply by their reputation, and as such there most definitely is a need for laws for people that insult/slander/malign people in a public forum, it can have severe consequences for the person being maligned and most definitely should also have consequences for the dick doing it. You need to grow and realise that in the real world actions have consequences.
You seem a little confused. You as a user of google search youtube etc are NOT GOOGLE CUSTOMERS, you are googles product. Googles customers are people and companies that buy ad space and no their are not good alternatives to paying google for ad space as they pretty much own the majority of the market. Ask any business that needs to advertise on the web and I bet you can't find a single one that google charges $0.00 for.
I wish the government agencies would adopt a you pay for your certification and training attitude or at least a you must work for us for X amount of years after training or you have to pay for it. I contract in to a few IT departments and I watch public servants abuse the hell out of the system, they take positions in IT and then use it as a means for free access to expensive training. In one department I have watched no less than a dozen people take a job, get trained and immediately leave to become a contractor. At the moment there is a new person that everyone knows is only there to take all the training and then intends to leave mid year for another city, yet their is nothing they can do about it, she is taking literally 10's of thousands of dollars of training with no intention of ever using it for the department.
The truly sad part is for a supposed techie his troubleshooting skills sucked balls. If the device worked fine with 32 bit and failed with 64 bit, it isn't gonna be the god damn cables or power supply that needs replacing.
What a load of BULLSHIT.
b) it is not just a pointer to data, they are taking books and publications that are covered under copyright and breaching the copyright by illegally making and distributing electronic copies.
c) revenue is irrelevant
d) it is completely different from a library, A library buys there books through means that the publisher/author has explicited provided, If a library was then making its own copies to loan out THEN it would be like a library and THEN the library would also be in breach of the law and would rightfully be sued.
e) the internet shares data that is posted on it. The internet does not share anything that is not posted on it, google are breaching the copyright owners rights to choose what they post on the internet.
It is not like putting a sign on a bulletin board at all, Are you a complete moron? A bulletin board is publicly posted information, a book is NOT. A book is a piece of copyright work that the author/publisher has certain rights over, including the right to decide in what forms it is published.
It is FUCKING google, it has nothing to do with the way the internet works.
Why I agree this is probably a huge case of opportunism, The fact remains google are evil bastards in how they are handling this and really they deserve what they get. An system that can take your property and requires you to "opt out" rather than opt in deserves to have as many law suits thrown at it as humanly possible.
I have to agree sadly, the new tardis was a let down, it looked like it belonged in the sarah jane spin off for kiddies.
New doctor I am still a little unsure of too, has potential but again he seems to almost be aimed at children with his whole persona which is more than a little disappointing, will wait and see though.
because depending on your OS versions there are built in mitigations that are not directly related to the browser such as DEP/NX ASLR and in the case of the Server OS the browser is locked down tight by default. And yes some of those same protections that windows provides for ie are also available to firefox.
The net effect of the various protection mechanisms means a vulnerability has differing consequences depending of the OS version and Architecture (x86/x64).
How did you get marked insightfull, They aren't not doing directX 11 to do openGL, They are doing DirectX 9.x and some 10.x instead. No one wants to use OpenGL. Simple fact is direct X 11 hardware is not common enough for game manufacturers to target it on mass yet. Direct X 9 covers the majority of the market. Maybe in another 12 months+ when direct X10/11 cards are in even basic rigs then game writers will target 11.
GoWIII from a technical graphics point of view is outdated and if anything only shows how behind consoles are, yes it is spectactular (for a console game), but compared to what can be done on modern graphics chips it is actually pretty ancient.
No browser since the advent of browsers was as bad as the initial release of 4, It rendered badly, It was slugish, it was buggy, it was unstable, it leaked memory so fast and so badly it was hard to believe anyone could write code that badly without actually trying. It wasn't just bad it was bloody awefull. Netscape 6 by comparison is a pristine diamond.
I think the point however poorly put is that both sides should be considered responible. China for enacting such laws and censorship and google for involving previously uncensored people in such a public way as to place their freedom at risk. You do not throw innocents in front of bombs and then get to claim your entirely innocent just cause the other side are arssholes.
I reduce at that prick being thrown out, but I am not calling it a victory or that the system works until I hear his replacement is not a self righteous prick that puts his own views before that of the people./
Google either knowingly collected the data and are evil and not to be trusted
Google accidently collected this private data and are incompetent and should NEVER be trusted with any sort of data EVER
I can't see any other way to look at this that doesn't make google bad.
Of course it doesn't directly as the OS has just encountered a fatal error. To allow such a thing would be irresponsibly dangereous to your data.

I think your missing his point.

It is neither the widest, nor tallest even in the US. On a world scale I don't think it would even rate in the top 20 or 30 dam's size wise.
Losers weepers; finder's keepers.
Possession is 9/10ths of the law.
Abandoned property belongs to nobody.
I am sure that works real well in the play ground, however once you granduate out of pre school the real world works completely differently.

Porn industry was behind HD-DVD not Blu Ray, Sony however bought out all the key players to come from behind for a win.

New companion however I think is perfect.
