Wow they invented the word pod.. I did not know that. you learn something new on slashdot everyday. Pea farmers all over the world are cringing as we speak.
coocoo kachoo
you mean some sleazball lawyer will sue a sleazball company and try to monitize this "leak" for his own gain. Then every user of AOL will get about.02 cents.... but STILL they cant uninstall AOL... wow, where did I put that AOL coffee coaster. who cares.
Its not the number of vulnerabilities its more about the severity of them. A cookie injection , or cross site scripting is NOT the same as a buffer overflow/shell execution vulnerability. FF is by far less suseptable to the serious system risk level attack than IE; with no "known" arbitrary execution exploits at this time , IE has one outstanding right now and "drive by downloads" of scum ware is booming in the last few weeks.
without seeking damages.. GPL has no teeth. more of a, "lets infringe and see, whats the worst that could happen" attitude. asside from that it COSTS money to goto court in the fist place.
If the RIAA didnt seek damages would anyone have stopped Kazaing?

Because DHTML was too hard to say if you were bound and gaged in the trunk of a mobster, and managed to get to a cell phone.

Should he forget a { or ; then.. the other guy would yell it out as if we were playing pictionary... and it became EXTREAMLY ANNOYING. Programmers can be kinda.. well catty

wait, why would an app like this be an issue, with cross platform development? wx-windows (WXwidgets now), C++ and compile for windows in cygwin er any number of cross platform compilers. The point being you have to start out with the intent of parallel platform development not app porting..
Trolltech, Java, wx-widgets, cygwin ( "google" a few of those:) )
soooo he knows the president can make anything classified:) like invisible WMDs , Marylin Morrow, Monica Lewinsky , the institutional apocalypse... in general the suppression and control of public information.
This is something that I was wondering about, in the great race for the emerging "Enterprise desktop" market will Sun be poking at Novell, Red hat and Microsoft's upcomming distro (:p ) and vis versa?
its not really in the spirit of the movment to atack another distro and frankly... its all the same crap and we know it:)
I have used IE's API to deth (BHO, TBO etc), and to be honest I don't see an advantage in creating there own browser other than giving them space for ad sence (Targeted ads based on the content of the site) in a side/top panel based on the site the user is visiting (kinda like Opera is doing now). this is obviously what they have in mind. I have spoken with Sr. Developers from G several times and you know... this is no suprise. What is a suprise is that they have not aquired Opera in the first place but insted have chosen to go from zero.
