Even when the recordings are available on Youtube, the officers are pretty much safe. In many cases, they are suspended *with* pay and keep their jobs or are assigned desk jobs for a while.
Completely stupid on their part. They are already writing the software, why not make it available and not shoot themselves in the foot? I don't think they're aware they are other vendors out there (Dell). I used to work for a big telco, the shop was almost 100% Compaq, was for years. They messed up somehow, now they are 100% Dell (we're talking about 2500 PCs and lots of servers). That was before they were gobbled up by HP. I don't know how many $$$ for a lease that big, but it's certainly a lot of money. Doesn't take much to lose a contract once the lease is up...
I know, but it is one of the nicest looking fighter. Besides, it was retired only 6 years ago, I'm pretty sure getting them back in service wouldn't be that hard since some of them were spotted flying near Groom lake in 2013.

Dude, that's some nasty fever you've got. Seriously, I'm not convinced about the dryer, but I've heard something about leaving an enveloppe on a dashboard in summer.
That's probably one of the reasons they closed in Canada. Radio Shack used to be the place to go when you needed some components (which they stopped selling). the 200-1 electronic kits, the Armatron, I miss those kind of things...
That's what I do when a drive fails or becomes noisy. I keep some of the magnets, remove the board, heads and platters, remove the copper coil from the head assembly. When I have around 10 or 20 drives (5 to 10 pounds), I sell them to the scrap yard. Good luck retrieving data after everything has been tossed in the big aluminum bin. Not a big amount at 50 cents a pound though.
And if You and I were to setup the same kind of snooping network, we would be jailed. But the laws don't apply the same when you're powerful/rich/government.
Not legal to have the customer eat the losses? I'll have to look further into it, I already contacted the ombudsman about that. Does it apply to ATM cards or just credit cards?
That's my point. Their argument is since the card was used with the chip, and that it can't be cloned (not entirely true), it's *my* problem, not theirs. So, as you said, it's a way to put the losses on the customer.
And that's something most people can't do (or are even aware of), don't want to do or don't want to risk rendering the phone useless.
I'm building a new Media Center, and will probably go with either Win7 or BeyondTV instead of Myth. Why? Because I want to watch TV, not spend my time configuring the remote, the front display, my surveillance cameras, debugging why 'x' video won't play or why I can't get the TV guide to download and so on. (and I've been using computers since 1979).
The chip is not there to protect customers interests. It's there so the store (or bank in my case) can say: Nope, your card wasn't copied, the chip was used at the ATM.

That's not a bad price, it's actually lower than the plans in Canada. Cheapest I can get here in Montreal is around 40$, and that's with a reseller (Acanac). Going with either Videotron or Bell gives me a big 15GB/month at 5Mbit for 35$/m. We *really* need something like Google fiber to shake the big greedy telecoms
Yes, but they'll do it anyways
Having to go to the dealer to pair a device means saying goodbye to your affordable OBD-II scanner and ECU flasher.

Some people can't receive OTA because of obstacles or because they're too far from the station. But they're being greedy, pure & simple.
Will they be driving while using those? Wasn't someone arrested for wearing them? Of course they're cops so the laws don't apply the same...

Can we get this on that fighter? Seems only fitting...

Well, we do have curling in Canada

Anybody else wonder why they're not using diesel engines for series hybrids?
Run the engine at optimal speed and use it as a generator.

I know about Tesla battery swaps. Bring the same tech in a Mazda 3 (ie. affordable car) and we'll talk.
