Excuse me, but the iphone 4 I'm using (gift from as friend) has a scratch near the top edge from when he fell down on it while biking (he weighs around 240). His jeans did not survive the fall, the phone did.
My old 3G never had any kind of screen protector on it and survived without a scratch on the front for years...
I sometimes use the driver's phone to send a text message (we're stuck and traffic and will be late), or use the GPS function (again, on the driver's phone).
Unless it can determine if the phone's in the driver's or passenger's hands, it's a very bad idea.
I'm still using an old Core2Duo (2.53 running at 3.8). It *only* has 4GB, but I put in and SSD and an ATI 6770 a couple years ago. Does everything I need, the only things it has problems running are recent games, not a reason to upgrade in my case. Many components got upgraded from machines found in the trash.
For the last 6 years the only part I paid for was my 3TB HDD (recording OTA TV takes around 8GB/hour)
Our national broadcaster (SRC/CBC) would prefer to have people pay to get their signal, even if they are financed by our taxes and advertisers. I'm pretty sure TVA (owned by Quebecor) and CTV (Bell), Global (Shaw) and CITY-TV (Rogers) would like that too...
Instead of an all-out pissing contest, can we have *reliable* 1 TB drives? Every drive bigger than 500GB has developped problems here a couple months past their warranty. Besides, Helium leaks unless properly sealed.
Diesel + batteries is the most efficient without going all electric, And I still don't understand why that combination hasn't been done in cars (but I'm waiting for the noise, vibration, won't start, smells complaints, we're not talking about a Volks Rabbit)
They are testing them (ugly as hell), but why not Hybrids? A city bus is the *perfect* use for an hybrid vehicle. They are always stop and go, and have the mass to properly regenerate the batteries, and yet every driver looks at me like I've got two heads whenever I mention Hybrid...
They prefer to go Electric instead of Hybrid (which would be better IMHO)
Why are they still bothering? It never stopped piracy, and only serves to punish people who buy the stuff (no possibility to rip for iPhone, tablet, etc)
iPhones can be jailbroken. You then use Cydia to load apps.
How many phones come with cyanogen? please don't compare running a custom OS with a stock one.
Could it just be natural market growth?
I don't think the new iPhone would look like another generic phone if Jobs was still there. He was an asshole, but the products were beautiful.

Those are really cool to play with...
You're holding it wrong...
1 Billion won't hurt Apple that much. They're not using it for now, but might use it in the future (and/or) in other products...

How many of those JesusTV or Ethnic channels? I've looked into hooking up my FTA receiver, but decided to go OTA instead.

8$ is *nothing* compared to a cable bill (and doesn't have ads)
Timeout, not lock out.
People were doing that in the late '80/early '90s with analog cell phones, so nothing new here. Once you have physical access it's mostly game over...
But why didn't FindMyiphone timeout after let's says, 3 or 5 attempts? that's just sloppy...
Like Deskstars?
They will work for 6 months then fail in a spectacular way (and lose all the data in the process)
Thanks, I'm thinking the same thing. 5 years down the road those drives won't work. I'd rather have reliable drives than a dick contest...

"they will learn to click through all warnings". Kinda Vista's UAC did for Windows users. Besides, people will go to great lenghts to see lolcats.
"and some new DRM"

Some of us played outside as kids. The good side is we're not always sick.
Kinda obligatory www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TAtRCJIqnk
That's why there are different servers in Q3A, based on the player's skill (last time I checked).
Dumbing the game down to attract console players is not the way to go.
The game speed is what made Quake & Unreal into classics. Unreal 2 and Doom 3 looked and felt like console ports (dumbed down and slow action)
I wouldn't be so sure. He sounds pretty crazy. (and there are lots of crazy dictators around Russia, yes, including Middle East)
It wouldn't take that much to escalate, all it takes is one bad move by someone crazy...
