Did it occur to you that these guys have a full-time employee dedicated solely to running Child's Play?
Maybe you should dig up some pics of the warehouse-fuls of donations they have gotten in previous years, before you accuse them of not being prepared for $500k...
I took Organic in school, the only way to get through it is to suffer. My course was meant not to teach, but to weed out pre-meds. Damn! Don't forget the 5 hour labs where you sneeze and your whole yield is gone POOF!
Here's a great studying tip: suck it up! The alternative is to grow a pair and realize chemistry is crap and jump ship to the real science, physics! Everything else is stamp-collecting, as Rutherford said.
If I sound bitter it's just because I am. Goddamn pre-meds...
What I have always found is that I need a goal in my mind. I can't just say, "I want to learn PHP." It needs to be, "I need to write a webpage for automating google searchs.
Of course, learning to program is all about the concepts, the rest is just syntax. If you know C/C++, it's nothing to learn PHP, javascript, python, etc. So once you get started and get some real knowledge under your belt, it will get easier and easier.
Ask yourself what you want to accomplish, then learn what you need to meet that goal
It strikes me that what we really need are tools that can read an app's code and transform the icons, locations, etc. to match the agreed-upon standard. That way existing programs can all be brought into the fold, without subjecting developers to extra work. An example of this the old-fashioned way is GimpShop. We need tools to do that automagically...
I wonder if this is an impossible task? It would really lead to more modular programs however, the GUI should sit above the program itself, so it should be easily modifiable.
Wired claimed blogs to be what Napster was to music.
Please, tell me what is wrong with that statement. Try this:

Honestly people, I have no problem with grammatical errors if the statement is a statement. That sentence is a complete waste of my time, and shame on the editors. Shame indeed.
I think Apple's biggest 80s flop was letting Microsoft get away with Windows...
I think Apple's biggest flop since then has been to market themselves directly to NYU-attending latte-swilling upscale urbanites and metrosexuals. People out there avoid Apple due to snobbery, not lack of games or anything. Until recently, cost was also an issue
just can't handle 'em. They play but the framerate just isn't satisfactory. I've got 1.25 Ghz G4 and 512mb ram, it is probably the lower G4 that isn't able to keep up
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but http://del.icio.us is great!
In my opinion, it's not a good bookmarks manager, though it's helpful for haivng bookmarks available at any computer. What it is, hoewever, is a great way to browse sites that other people really like. That is it's real strength!
Go to URL del.icio.us/tag/xxx where xxx is the keyword people are using and you get a list of lots of cool sites people are bookmarking./tag/osx yields lots of cool mac OS X links.
I wish there was some way to filter out duplicate URLs, but other than that this is a great way to discover cool new links. Great for going through when your bored!

but don't mention this anywhere near Kansas!
The ending is quite sad, not as sad as my own life, but close

Maybe one of them will actually finish this time?
See, we're here to help!
Can some more knowledgable people post some pros/cons of using python for this, like issues with the byte-compiling?
FALLOUT 3.... I wanted it so bad.... *sheds tear*
I even own a mac and this article is complete non-news. I wonder how long it will be before it's duped???

Question: Is python useful at rendering dynamic webpages? What about mysql integration?

Does that even remotely make any sense? Sure as hell doesn't to me...
I, for one, welcome our new street-walking overlords.
NO. Honestly. Do you ever wonder how important water is for drinking?
It's a shame, for they are GORGEOUS!
"Yeah. What's the big deal?"
"Lemme tell ya bout it, stud!"
Remember this? The real reason to get map software

One is left with all the problems of having dual-monitors and none of the benefits.
Any excuse to dig it to old Dick I say. Uh, are you a republican? Pissed off retard redneck or aging liberal hippy douche. Vote now!
That's almost as bad as having a Vice President's oilcompany winning US oil contracts in Iraq... Oh wait!
