no the difference is the US was started as a union from the get go, it was founded that way. the US has a constitution which supposedly recognizes certain inalienable rights
the EU tried to usurp member nations by secret legislation and backhanded deals over the course of 50 years till people suddenly woke up and the EU finally admitted, ya we been lying to you for 50 years, now your in the EU, hope your constitutions didnt give you too many freedoms before cause now you can kiss them goodbye

correct me if im wrong but the EU is not a sovereign nation, most of its member nations hate the origanization and only are considered part of it because their leaders lied them into it in the first place. now they are going to tell the world how to do business?

on the other hand MS does have some pretty shady practices.
but forcing PCs to be sold with no OS is retarded

we should have the option though (and the option not to pay for an OS)

eating yogurt with lactobacteria can help restore it

i thought this article was going to be about the bacteria eating viruses that they are using to treat foods now.. thats right viruses in our food on purpose. and the only way they can breed enough of these viruses to use is by breeding them on the very harmful bacteria that they are supposed to treat! the fda admits a small number of the treated foods will have the more of the harmful bacteria on them than you would otherwise be exposed to without any of their tampering...

so we are being given viruses and bacteria for .. what??!!!

this is one big bullshit article
i am a linux gamer, i play a ton of games on linux, even games not officially supported by game developers

mostly i play World of Warcraft thru cedega 100% issue free
i also play Civ3 and Civ4, both run fine (civ4 is slow though, on both windows and linux) thru cedega
i also play SimCity (whatever the newest one was, 4?) it runs fine (in software mode) thru cedega

i can even run crap tacular voip software like vent on wine for talking to guildmates on wow

steam games also all work on linux
not EVERY game does, but most people dont run out to buy EVERY game anyway

if game developers dont support linux, people wont be able to switch
if people arent going to switch cause they want to play games, the developers wont worry about linux support..
    its a catch 22

personally im happy with the games i play, and happy with linux and am even know trying to make sure i can support linux with an indy game im working on (although its a little harder since its a road less traveled)

its always biased, against whos in power, but thats not really a bad thing, the media is supposed to be a 'check and balance' on government sorta, so having a 'news' network that goes after the ruling power is GOOD. the thing thats more informative about them is that they cover alot more topics, even the ones fox doesnt want to cover, and they do cover it in greater detail, even letting viewers listen to the chat logs foley had with pages. I didnt see that on any other network, especially not fox, they made it sound like nothing was even wrong. the difference between the daily show, and other networks like fox, is that the government is so freaking ridiciouslous it makes the daily show's job easier (making fun!), and makes fox's job alot harder! (trying to make the ruling power NOT look like a complete bunch of corrupt idiots)
