Doesn't ipv6 actually have multicast subdomains setup that would facilitate this?

The statement of rebooting to fix a computer is why things like this are important. How about finding ways for a system to fix itself while it is operating?

Some old nes music has been remixed by a few talented people. For game music in general, and a fair amount of nes remixes in specific, take a quick trip to http://www.ocremix.org/

Buy a laptop hard drive and a converter, and even the drive will be fairly silent, if not utterly unnoticeable when the case is put back together.

I would guess profits for dial up are rather high. Its not like they have to pay a whole lot for their bandwidth to the rest of the net. 20+ dial up users prolly use less bandwidth than 1 broadband user.

Same here, I was doing this back before people even considered putting windows in their cases. It just makes it easier to add and remove things from the case. I was always sick of how hp/compaq/dell were always just tossing cables in the computer and made them look crappy. (btw you should have seen my breadboard computer i made at wsu, was a work of art :))

If google introduced a hard disk search, it would be remarkably similiar to disk indexing in windows (i'm sure there are other utilities that do as well and prolly work better). Google is fast because it indexes and caches the data for easy retrieval. So you spend hard disk space and processor cycles for easier retrieval. Wow that is what google must be doing :)

I can understand this situation. If you can't trust your babysitter and or the 911 operators to make the right decisions, you have bigger problems to deal with. Also, if being away from your kids for a couple hours is too tramatic for you, i'd suggest other forms of entertainment.
