Changes in velocity cause problems. Especially large changes in velocity. If the hard drive and the heads are moving at the same speed, the heads will hover above the platters. A large change in velocity could cause the head to impact on the platter possibly causing data loss or platter damage.
Most 'free' online thingies are trying to find out how to make money of their 'free' services. Didn't we learn in the dot-cot boom that free doesn't work without a way to pay for it?
I have a pentium III 733 and a hauppage wintv pci card thats over 4 years old, and it records really nice movies. Dscaler and virtual dub are great with it. might be the included software, or that it comes with a onboard mpeg encoder that doesn't work very nicely.
No, it needs to be able to stay at a non moving spot on the earth. The only place for this to happen is in geosynchronous orbit, which is near the equator.
Limited? We have many many input output ports that we can modify. We can remove pieces, and put them in other bodies. The only thing we're having problems with is restarting the kernel, or building a new one...
If you're trying to code by speech, wouldn't you use a language that is more like english then like gibberish pouding on the keyboard by monkeys? I think i've heard that python and or ruby are like this? I also seem to remember a program called hypertalk where you told the computer how to do stuff with english like grammer.
You could locate a power converter next to or near your servers and or your root hub. This would put it out of the way and eliminate the need of additional wall worts as long as you buy devices that can use this power.
Making it simpler to set up, and just allowing people to click send and it could happen. Asking people to do anymore than they are already doing and people won't do it.
From what i recall, they don't want you publishing benchmarking info. However, you would actually attempt to run your software on systems before you actually buy them right... right? erm well, i'll go back over here and continue working...
Anybody else read that a couple times and read it as Riscombabulator Remodulator Requirements?

But the sticker is doing something! Its generating conversations and probably even receiving money from the really gullible...
Most people don't have access to clusters to do work. Heck most people barely have 2 computers, 1 at home, one at work.

So, its uniqueness is based on a supposedly unique number? That doesn't quite make sense to me.
A response to a packet is more exposed then just ignoring a packet. Responding gives the attacker knowledge that the target exists.
And started the war on americans because we didn't like someone and took him and everybody around him out? no?

Though I do go to the movies, but i tend to go late at night when you're like 1 of 10 in a theater, makes it a better experience imo.
