    They would have caught you going to a web page with no illegal content. Going to a webpage isn't (or shouldn't be) proof of anything. It's very easy to go places you didn't mean to on the internet. You would not have actually downloaded or possessed anything illegal, nor would you have done anything that conclusively proves you were trying to.

    I'm all for being fair, but you're way off the mark here. IE is very relevant to this discussion (and any browser discussion) and not only that, the "smear" is that it's not affected by a vulnerability!

    If there was a fire in the Whitehouse, would you tell the media to stop "obsessing" over Bush if they reported that some were hurt, but the president was not?

    What are you talking about? Google does exactly what you're asking for. If there's a page in Google's index that says "Like the question someone once asked Bill Gates, 'is the devil real or imaginary?'" and you type "Bill Gates is the Devil" into Google (with or whithout quotes), it will find that result.

    Not necessarily. There are a number of philosophies regarding the reason for prisons; other than punishment, prisons can be said to be places of rehabilitation, places to simply remove the dangerous element from society, and probably other things.

    A good bit actually. Google isn't planning to sell domain names, supposedly, but instead use the information that is afforded to registrars. For instance, when someone lets a domain expire, Google can look at that and perhaps take that domain out of the search rankings.

    Turning off domain grouping doesn't seem to make a difference for me. The same results are returned.

    It made a slight difference for me, but turning off the safesearch filter actually produced a bigger variety, and most of the added images were not porn.

    Sure, there were a lot of gnomes there, but this wasn't a "Million Gnome March" in the sense that it was about gnome rights. The phrasing in the blurb is ludicrous: gnomes are protesting because "their" class isn't balanced? Gnome is a race that can play several classes. This was a warrior protest, not a gnome protest, even if lots of gnomes were involved.
