    DRM is DRM. It's bad. What you mentioned is true. Most of who are strongly opposed to Microsoft's DRM point to Apple's DRM as being 'good'. I haven't found them to be in the minority.

    I second that. I've been waiting for today's keynote in the hopes of the core 2 duo update...but all we got were more iPods and Disney movies. Woo! I'm about to give up the wait if nothing changes by next week...anyone got any ideas?

    Way to sound like a douchebag. Once again, it's MS, not M$. Second of all, he's comparing a Pentium M on the Sony Vaio to the vastly superior Core Duo chip, not to mention that the M is a single core while the Core Duo is, oh, I don't know, a dual core machine. FYI, just to feed your trolling, Vista (Beta 2) managed to run my laptops battery longer than XP did.

    Aside from 'major' drivers (ie sound and video), I find that 99% of things that ask for a reboot don't really need it, even in XP. I mean, I plugin my webcam, the drivers install, and it asks me to reboot, when I can bloody well see that the camera is working! Why? Even if you ignored Acrobat's reboot request, it'd still function perfectly.

    Except that half of an argument is about presentation. If every other word I typed had a spelling mistake in it, you wouldn't take me seriously, would you? Going back to childish terms like Windoze or Winblows (while fun as a joke) is not a way to convince other people about your argument; it merely makes you look like an idiotic fan boy that's completely biased and doesn't acknowledge the facts.

    My 4 year old machine (Athlon XP 2200+, Radeon 9700 Pro, 1 Gig ram) ran Vista fine, with Aero turned on. This was Beta 2, which was far, far worse in terms of performance than RC1.

    Windows. MS. If you want to be taken seriously, spell things right so you don't look like a bitter 12 year old kid. And my little XP box could do that easily. And aside from installing sound card drivers (which actually worked before Creative stupidly forced asked for a reboot), I haven't rebooted/shut down my computer since installing Vista RC1.

    CSS is all good and well, and I do my best to make my designs fully CSS, but at times, it's just far, far easier to use a table than to spend hours putting in hackneyed CSS code that won't be 'valid' in the end just to get a simple thing done.

    Erm, if I post something on my website (which I bought the domain for and paid for hosting), it is not a public space, since I paid for it. Stuff on www.whitehouse.gov, on the other hand, would be, since tax payer money paid for it.

    I'm quite interested about the summary. The article clearly states both Apple and Dell's issues, yet the summary and headline only mention Dell...
